Part #1

The DDO presidential election is less than a month away. I was thinking about how actual American elections have PACs and Super PACs. I thought that DDO should have a "Super Pac": a group of DDOers that put together political "ads" for the candidate that the Super PAC chooses. In Priorities DDO's [name subject to change] case, we would support Darkkermit. (*Note: we are not against TV)

However, not only would the DDO Super PAC would try to support DK as best we could, and try to quash the competition (*cough*16ksadams*cough*), we would try to actually improve DDO political discourse. We would put up polls, ask about new issues, etc. I'm actually not really clear about everything that the Priorities DDO would do, but hopefully we can improve the site for the better.

Below is a short sign-up sheet if anyone is interested. Although it is open to ALMOST everyone (Sorry, DK & Imabench; Super PACs cannot coordinate with candidates.), I would like those who are ready and willing to support Darkkermit and come up with ways in order to benefit DDO.

In my experience, small groups do best in brainstorming and generally working together; the number is going to be STRICTLY 4-6 people (including myself).

1. USM
2.
3.
4.
5.
6.

A PM will be set up in order for us to discuss.

Part #2

Currently, here are the issues that I see in this election are, in no particular order:

1. Big issues update
2. Like/dislike on forum posts
3. Trials
4. Banning frequency
5. AskBob
6. Contact/tone with Juggle

Feel free to add yours and subtract from mine. I want to get a good gist of what is important in the upcoming elections; in other words, what are the priorities of DDO? (I know. Pun-ish thing.)

Why?
Rules of Mafia

1. Mestari is never third party.
2. If Mestari claims an intricate and page long TP role, he's telling the truth.
3. Mestari always jointly wins with the town.
3b. If he doesn't he's mafia.
3c. If he was mafia you wouldn't suspect him in the first place.
4. If you lynch Mestari you will lose because he will be the third party Doctor or some other townie power role.
5. DP1 lynches are good.
6. The answer is always no.

NO THIS IS NOT Facebook

NO THIS IS NOT Facebook

Contra spewing ineptitude? Who would have thought?! Facebook doesn't have a dislike button. It does have a like button, which allows users to find the best/most liked statements. It improves the online experience. TED is another site with an intellectual and diverse user base such as ours; they have the like button, and it works well: it shows other people where the best comments are.

YouTube, blogs, and countless forum communities use the like and dislike buttons as a way to evaluate better comments and self-police against hateful or abusive comments.

You haven't presented a reason for your opposition to the system. Unless you want to stay in the loony bin/freak wharf, tell us your reasoning.

Of course it does. I was mainly trolling. There are holes in it, like evolution, but both are facts.
