Is there any news on what a future update of DDO might contain, or when it might come out? Before the last version was launched, Phil advertised upcoming features including the forums and such. Personally, I'd really like for there to be a chat option on DDO simmilar to that of Facebook or Gmail's, as PM's get annoying for back-and-forth responding, and maybe a blog feature might be cool too.

I don't think there is any plan for updates. Phil has mentioned that he isn't making enough money on the site so he would not be putting much time into it. We can conclude that until the site picks up more (Phil estimated in about a year to a year and a half) there will be no new features/updates.

I agree that a chat feature similar to facebook's would be great, by the way.

I agree, a chat feature like facebook would be cool.

Also, a wall-to-wall feature like on facebook.

How much money do you think the owner (Phil?) gets from this site?

But then DDO would be too much like Facebook.

The last time he talked about it he said it was about $5 income per day. It has been many months since then, and the site seems to have become more populated and busy since then.

1 - Not really.
2- Some Facebook-like things could be cool.
3 - Even if it was, Facebook makes A LOT of money and DDO doesn't lol so...

Anyway is it difficult (time consuming or expensive) to put a chat box option in? I know little to nothing about computers, so I have no idea... John? Anyone?

Its all about the adverts. I don't know about you guys but on my browser gay sites are often advertised on DDO. I'm all love and respect for the gay community but its kind of distracting seeing a half nude buff hunk taking up half the side of the site when im trying to post a topic!

But if it makes money for DDO then I shouldn't complain. If phil put a very simple donate option on this site, then im sure he could earn allot more money to be put into the site. Its very easy to do, as demonstrated by DDofans.

We need to expand on what we have:

- Comments on pictures.
- Better forums (e.g. allow images to be posted, post edits)
- A Games forum? (Possibly private forums in there for Mafia games so no-one will hi-jack)
- Revised Big Issues.
- The ability to see who voted (To any extent really, as long as someone can see them)

I would be happy if that got attention before going in to too much stuff.
