We have another round of updates to release to Debate.org. Our goal is to push out the updates either tomorrow or early next week.

Here is a highlight of some of the updates going out in this release:

Facebook Login Integration: New users will be able to sign up to DDO using their Facebook account. Existing users will have the ability to merge/link their existing DDO account with their Facebook account and enjoy single sign on with Facebook and DDO.

BIG Issues Comments: User comments for each BIG Issue will now appear within the user list on the BIG Issue page. This will not only surface each user's opinion on the BIG Issue, but potentially encourage more debates between users with opposing viewpoints.

In addition, there are several minor bug fixes and clean up items that will go out with this update as well.

We have a number of updates that we are still planning to release to the site in the future. We have been gathering feedback from several members of the community as well as reading various forum posts to contribute to our list of updates. Some things up for future consideration:

- Short Debates (similar to debates.juggle.com)
- Team Debates
- Revising the Top Debaters Ranking Algorithm
- Facebook DDO App Expansion
- And many more...

Hmm... I'm assuming the Big Issues comments will be in a seperate page than the actual Issues are located at?

If not, could you perhaps explain more. And, yeah, this update would be awesome. ;)

I would like the "short debates" too, because it's similar to another debating site's interface that I really like.

This thread should really be getting more attention than the "hall of shame" thread.

Do you see any other Keynesians here on DDO besides us, Apollo, and 000ike? And don't count the Socialists/Communists.

Ore_ele is also a keynesian. There's no reason why we can't form a group.

Although, I admit there is some difficulty considering I'm the only right-leaning keynesian.

Okay there is a weak Keynesian coalition of us, Wnope, 000ike, Apollo, and Ore Ele (a Communist I believe).

So yeah I guess we wouldn't be vastly outnumbered.

I believe that private sector decisions sometimes lead to inefficient economic outcomes which require active policy responses by the public sector. I believe monetary policy actions by the central bank and fiscal policy actions by the government do stabilize output over the business cycle, thus leading to a more efficient and stable economy.
