I am new and I thought the tutorial video said I could not vote until I had three debates. However, looking at ended debates still in voting period, it appeared I could vote. If I had filled out the "form", would it just not record, or has this changed?

My more important question is if I were to start a new debate, I give my resolution. Is this my half of the first round? I state the rules and give evidence and ALWAYS go first, as instigator? Am I understanding this correctly?

Also, what is trolling? I have never heard this term before a year ago, and it seems to have different meanings in the three contexts I have heard it (the third being "trolling debate").

One more thing, is there a way to change user names? If not, can I open a different account if and when I think of a better name?

Thanks for any help,
Chaos88

I don't know. Try it out and see what happens.

You don't *have* to go first, that' just usually the way it works. You can ask your opponent to go first and then skip their half of the last round so you both have the same amount of arguments--see this debate: http://www.debate.org...

It means different things in different contexts. It could mean deliberately antagonizing someone for fun, just joking around, or probably other things depending on context.

No.

Yes, if you close this account.
