Burden of Proof.

Whoever has burden of proof has to prove whatever they're supporting, while their opponent has only to defeat their arguments.

It's always suspicious when someone tries to put the BoP on their opponent for no logical reason.

Pro usually gets the BOP, but when I vote I usually want con to give a valid response that actually hurts pros case. And although I would be more strict towards pro, I don't think he needs to make the final blow in the debate and settle it forever.

Depends on what you are arguing :)

They probably wouldn't settle it forever anyway. Nothing is settled forever! :D

1. What does =/= mean?

2. Is there a thread with all of the abbreviations made? I can't find anything except the tutorial thread with the starter video.

Thanks.

well, in such a big universe, anything that isn't against the laws of science should technically exist somewhere.
