I hope he does come back, the sooner the better. DDO is better off for his presence. Beneath the overly flowery, bombastic, eloquent rhetoric, you can always find a cogent insight or two in what he's saying, even if you disagree with his conclusions. Plus he is consistent. He annoys me at times for obvious reasons, for the same reasons he annoys us all at times, I expect. But I respect him, damnit, I respect him through and through, and when he has something to say I try my best to hear him out. Can't say that for a lot of people... Not even on DDO, which is far more likely to produce someone I truly respect and appreciate and want to listen to than "real" society.

Long story short... Charles come back (sang to the tune of Baby Come Back)

Made an entire 8000k post about how ancient humans weren't capitalist because they were smart enough to know they would be taken advantage of....

So it's a length thing. I can understand that I guess. Reading is hard after all. Your equating of the two without regard to content though is misleading. Charleslb is perhaps the most vocal anti-capitalist on the site. Saying we still have Jat doesn't really mean anything in that regard.

No it's not. I'm equating the length of the posts, and splashing words. Didn't imply anything else.

Charleslb is perhaps the most vocal anti-capitalist on the site.
Irrelevant.

Saying we still have Jat doesn't really mean anything in that regard.
Correct - not that it was related to ideology anyway.

I guess you can't grasp logical connections. Maybe your IQ is too low to figure out what an implication is derived from - but that's not your fault perhaps. Anyway - hit the road really, don't reply. And merry Christmas!

Dearest Mirza,

Idk why you're acting like such a fool/jerk toward me and spinko and charles on this here thread. I don't know why you think you're entitled to speak down to people in condescending tones as if we're all little children and you're Jesus. I'm not saying you're not awesome, but if you're going to act haughty, at least make a post that warrants it. Defend your claims. I never see you do this in the forums - just snide quips. Granted, maybe I'm missing the places where you actually defend your claims, which tend, more often than not, to be at least partly inflammatory ad homs that seem perfectly designed to make someone feel like sh!t and/or to start a flame war. In this regard, at least in the forums, I don't think you have proved yourself to be a valuable member of the forums, and especially as of late, your snide and condescending character is an annoyance to me, and no great help to anyone here. Especially, as I said, because the condescension seems to be in your case not backed. You've won a bunch of debates. That's awesome. You've still got to defend your claims especially if they are, as they so often seem to be, annoyingly snide personal attacks.

Yes, Charles and I both have a tendency to go off on multi-paragraphed philosophic rants and rambles. He much more so than I do. For every huge rant you'll find 100 of my shorter, more "normal" posts. Seriously, if my similarities with Charles end with the tendency to occasionally make essay-length philosophic rambles, your point is moot. Charles unfortunately uses flowery, eloquent, overly intellectual prose in order to disguise a point that could be made with the same strength in a handful of sentences spoken in normal English. I do NOT do that, and I never have. And for the record, some of my more lengthy, thoughtful posts have gotten some solid praise/appreciation/compliments around here (yeah, it surprised me too) from people like WSA and Freedo and Johnnyboy and Imabench. So excuse me that a) I'm a writer, as a hobby and career, it's what I do best and what I feel best doing, and b) I like to use my talents to contribute to the ongoing conversations of the DDO community in my own way, and c) I actually put a lot of thought, effort, and care into my posts. Some people don't like doing this because they're not writers or they don't see the value or they don't have the time. That's cool; I won't force them to be like me. But kindly respect my choice to write what and how I please, and I'll respect your choice to be the snide, annoying, wanna-be witty @$$hole that everyone here knows you have become. Welcome to DDO, either contribute to the well-being of the site, the community, and its members, or kindly GTFO, Ma'am.
