So the teachers with smarter kids get more pay?

What about those who have hands-on parents to help?

And what about urban schools where the kids generally suck?

Nay.

There's too many outside factors.

Needless to say, there would have to be some sort of objective standard for determining which students are academically competent, thereby justifying the additional compensation for their teachers.
