What is the best course of action to take when you have encountered or accepted a debate when the instigator has plagiarized all or are large portion of their debate?

I noticed that under the report this debate menu there is no specific option for plagiarism.

Point out the plagiarism in the debate. That will certainly win you the courtesy and sources points.

It hasn't happened to me personally I was just asking just for future reference.

If you want to report it, there is an "Other(s) (please specify)" check box.

But I agree with JBlake. Best course of action is to point out the plagiarism in the debate.

I have participated in several such debates. Usually, just point out that your opponent plagiarized, and refute their arguments as usual. Their arguments after round one will probably rapidly deteriorate in quality, making it easy for you to win.

Not only did my opponent completely plagiarize his argument, but then later on in the debate, he kept saying that my points were irrelevant... my points that were rebuttals to the points that HE made. In other words, he didn't even agree with the points he plagiarized! Stooooopid.

This is my first debate and my opponent plagiarized his round 2.

Thought I was replying in this thread when I said in the Crap Debates thread that if he posts the source link, it's not really plagiarism.

Sorry.

Sorry.

It's not technically plagiarism, but he should construct his own arguments. I'd penalize this.

As would I.
