What is the debate you are most proud of?

I'd say my debate on Monarchy vs Democracy with Fourtrouble that sadly ended in a tie
http://www.debate.org...

Or my most recent debate with Royal over US heg.

All of them. All of my debates are the best.

If I had to choose, I'd probably say my last one with tulle, discussing our relationship using only song lyrics. It was so much fun and mad props to Airmax and Oryus for the awesome idea.

Probably this one on veganism >> http://www.debate.org...

It would have easily been this one (if for no other reason than entertainment value) had my opponent not conceded so quickly >> http://www.debate.org...

The most fun I've had in a debate was my Rap battle debate (although this one ended pre-maturely too =/)>> http://www.debate.org...

Those latter two were awesome and total dominating performances. I always enjoy odd and entertaining topics. Who wants to read about abortion every day?

Thanks philochristos. I think my favorite of yours is the Star Trek transporter debate. In fact, that's easily one of my favorite debates on the site.

My debate with Dark Kermit re:Women's Workplace Discrimination. I almost forfeited due to sleeping in the day I was going to post my 4th round argument, but I put forth a strategy in that debate that my opponent didn't understand until after my final round argument, and his failure to comprehend where it as all going is what lost him that debate.

http://www.debate.org...

(not in voting...this is me we're talking about. most people vote against me on spec, and if not, they look for reasons to...like in that debate - DK listed off 37 reasons why women don't get paid less. I nullified all but one, and so everyone latched onto that as a reason to vote against me. it was awesome and funny to watch.)

There were a few I thought about, but I'd have to go with my Casey Anthony debate:
http://www.debate.org...

Nothing beats little old me, who barely graduated high school and was thought to be too dumb for college, beating a law student from Boise State 31-0 in a debate about a murder trial. He wasn't the best debater but it's still nice to brag about.

I'm pretty proud of my last debate, which was on the necessity of hate speech laws http://www.debate.org...

I don't consider myself a good debate and avoid formal debate like the plague... but I felt compelled to take this one because I knew that the majority of members here are American and likely a) agreed with the Con side or b) wouldn't be able to do the Pro side justice. What makes me proud is I actually changed some minds!

How about "Hate Speech should be made illegal"?

Take out the "made" and sure. It's already illegal in Canada and I don't want to limit the debate to American law since I'm not familiar with it. I'd rather focus on the "should". I can do it next week. Would you like me to instigate?

I would really have trouble deciding between my debate with Steven_H on the historicity of Jesus and Muted's debate on biological immortality
http://www.debate.org...
In that debate, I literally spent at least 4-6 hours on each post, researching and formulating the case.

http://www.debate.org...
In the biological debate, I'm not a biology person and spent vast amounts of time creating material to support my arguments, it was exceptionally tough, but thankfully muted wasn't much of a debater at the time.

Ehh... I've never really put a whole lot of thought into any of my debates. I don't regard this as an especially challenging activity or one that is intellectually engaging -so I'm not really 'proud' of anything I've done on here. But pride isn't the reason I'm on here. It's to placate boredom. No more or less.

Is the Book of Exodus Fictional?

http://www.debate.org...

This was the most educational debate for me. I had not even read Exodus in its entirety before engaging in the debate, although of course I had read bits and seen televized and summarized versions of it. I also knew much less of Egyptian history then! I could improve upon this debate today, but I entered with an open mind and put together a convincing case.

Humanity knows enough now, that Exodus shouldn't be considered both literal and entirely true.

If you prefer battles, justifying assault weapons to Jahryn was interesting. :)
