Basically the opposite of thett's thread. Which debate are you least proud of?

There are many I'm not proud of, usually because of forfeiting rounds or just not caring, but this is the one that came to mind first:

http://www.debate.org...

It's the most recent of those I'm not proud of. It was my very first time participating in a real debate about gun laws and I felt like my opponent skewed the resolution halfway through and that even then it was still too ambiguous. So I lost interest. I thought about just letting the timer run out and forfeiting but I decided I would at least try to finish it, but I did so with much less enthusiasm and strength I am capable of. Sometimes, I wish I had just forfeited.

I don't...I don't understand the question.

Most of my early debates were crap but I just happened to be debating other noobs at the time, so it evened out. Of my more developed debates, it would probably be this one:

http://www.debate.org...

I'm debating sherlockmethod on whether or not Batman is partially responsible for the crimes of the Joker. He's a better debater than me and while he didn't change my mind, I did realize part way through that I wasn't going to win. Had he not forfeited two rounds, I surely would not have.

Speaking of which, Maikuru, I'd love to be the one to finally end your long, perfect record. You, me, some obscure videogame/anime/whatnot resolution, whaddya say?

You know what, tv called dibs on breaking my record last month lol. He and I are supposed to debate on which is preferable: gravity gun or portal gun. How cool is that =)

I'm also interested in debating the same question on replicators and holodecks from Star Trek. Do you have a preference? If not, message me with some possible topics and we'll figure this bad boy out.

I hope it doesn't take THAT long for us to finally debate o.O

Okay, that's an awesome resolution. Will definitely give it a read.

I have never seen a single episode or movie or youtube video clip of Star Trek. I could research it and make an informed decision, but I feel it could not possibly be nearly as informed as yours lol as such, we shall settle this in PM...

I knew nothing about philosophy at the time. I don't know why I bothered taking it. Ended up forfeiting.

I argued that rape victims were responsible for the occurence of rape. It was a purely satirical play on the nature of moral causality (or was it?) but it still made me look like a dick.

This was my first debate, and I consider it my personal worst because I misunderstood the resolution.
