Hello DDO"ers!

We just wanted to give you a heads up on the release we pushed out to Debate.org today. The majority of the release was to the backend (behind the scenes) portion of the site, bringing some of the older code up to date in some areas.

However, there are several outward facing updates that we made including:

- Ability for members to flag/report opinion arguments, topics and comments. Members can now flag content within the opinions section just as they would within the forums or debates.

- Floating action bar & back to top link on Opinion pages. Many of our most popular opinion pages are exceptionally long, making it somewhat difficult for users to interact with the content. The floating action bar will appear after you scroll down an opinion topic page, presenting a persistent method for users to interact with the content. See it here - http://www.debate.org...

- Updated demographics page. The data powering the member demographics page has been fully updated and will be updated automatically from here on out. See it here " http://www.debate.org...

- Opinion Topic attribution in your profile activity stats. Members who create opinion topics will now have a count listed in their activity stats within their profile.

- Spell checker on opinions. We extended the functionality that exists on debates and forum posts; we added the spell check tool to opinion arguments and topics.

Over the next few months you will see some fairly substantial updates to the site as we look to improve the overall user experience. As we flesh out the details, we will give you guys some sneak peeks.

In the meantime, if you see any issues that you want to report that are related to this release you can post them here: http://www.debate.org...

Great improvements. If I may give suggestions, I would recommend a floating bar for the links to the top portion of the page (messages, home, debates, opinions, forums) to float when viewing long pages or long PMs. That way, if we got a new PM, we would know without having to scroll up or click back to the forums without having to scroll up from the page).

When I go to 'Opinion questions' on my profile, I just see all the opinion answers I've given.
