"friendslist" isn't really an accurate term. The more accurate term is "watchlist."

Unless you hate people who aren't on your lists for their freedom to pm you and comment on profile.
It came to be at its height. It was commanded to command. It was a capital before its first stone was laid. It was a monument to the spirit of man.

Agree. The only benefits of having someone as a friend are PM, profile commenting, and the stalker feed on the home page.

Don't "push it"? This is a site dedicated to debate, discussion, and clashing opinions. We may have differing political ideologies, obviously, but that's no reason to be rude, especially for someone claiming to be a libertarian. I thought you guys were all up on the idea of tolerating diversity?

No, I didn't mean it like that at all. How do I phrase this..? I don't know, just continue being a good sport.

Is it really necessary to "HAHA" at half of the things I say? I think not. The point I'm making is, you're being very judgmental of my character based solely on my political ideology, the likes of which I can guarantee you know very little about. You're so quick to discredit me for being an authoritarian that you do so without logical justification, making me question how "libertarian" you actually are.

Authoritarianism is excellent if you have know how to perfectly run an economy, only care about the people, incorruptible, and know what will perfectly satisfy the populous 100% of the time.

However I think you would be challenged to point out a current or past Authoritarianism rule that meets the following requirements or has endured the test of time.

So, you're going to hold our type of government to a standard of perfect efficacy, but you'll be more lenient for other types of government? My brand of authoritarianism doesn't claim to be perfect, because it isn't, and it's completely unreasonable to expect such extreme results from it.

Apparently you are unfamiliar with fascism. When Cody says he's the resident fascist that means he's the resident fascist. Fascists don't share power. Expect the secret police to come and torture and eventually kill your account tonight at 3:12 AM.

johngriswald is correct. Authoritarianism fails because people are better at managing their own affairs than being lead in a coercive manner. Humans are much happier when there aren't threats against them for a bunch of things they might do.

Leadership and power itself is highly corruptable. That's why we have a liability system, democracy, to keep power in check.

In authoritarian governments, if fail occurs, fail usually isn't corrected because the leaders would have no perogative. In democratic governments, if fail occurs, then the leaders and policies will change accordingly. Authoritarian regimes definitely don't change leaders, and policies rarely do as well.

Ahh then your government shouldn't be fascist unless you expect perfect efficiency. Democracies are not perfectly efficient yes, but they allow both sides to fail and also allow a government to adjust to the times based upon the populous's viewpoint.

If you don't expect a near perfect degree of efficiency, then how can you possibly manage an economy, or adjust to changing times.

About the "HAHA", you'll find I do that a lot, I'm a very happy person that laughs at many things. About me being judgmental, the only thing I've judged from you being authoritarian is simply that you are authoritarian and I know I don't like that specific thing. I haven't judged anything else about your character, so far you have shown yourself to be a good sport, which I pointed out.
