Is there a way that someone on this site with power could counter vote bombs? Or, do we just have to accept the injustice if there is no other voters to counter?

I think it would be cool to have a "request box" for mods or someone to counter vote bombs. It truly is a shame when a debate gets ruined because someone felt like being bias or a troll.

Yes. You can request that I counter an obvious VB, there are even special accounts created to do so. Or you can post the debate to the FF/VB thread and another member will likely do so pretty quickly.

There's the unvoted/vote bomb thread:

Thank you. If another member does not get to it, then I will tell you the scoop. johnlubba votebombed on the debate below. My opponent conceded all argument and the entire debate and admit I won, but johnlubba still gave him all the points which is nonsense. How can you give the other person points when the other person concedes the whole debate? johnlubba also claimed I had a shared burden, when the burden was obviously just on Pro. Please fix this!

johnlubba votebombed another one of my debates!!!

http://www.debate.org...

In here he claims he is countering a votebomb. However, the votebomb he is referring to gave me and my opponent points without a RDF. However, johnlubba only countered the points for me! which is a votebomb in itself. I am requesting that he be banned. He is questioning the integrity of this site, by following my debates and vote bombing me.

I sincerely hope something is done about this, as I have been a member of this site for over a year and never had problems as bad as these.

That is a badly justified vote. Which is a trend by which someone basically says 'I don't want to read any of the argument, but I favor this side and am awarding them points.'

AgentRocks did not have a good RFD and voted, but the honorable AgentRocks stepped in an countered that questionable vote (Actually I saw this earlier, and was tempted to also vote 3 points to each side, and call it a counter).

I do not understand your vote either, to be honest. You admit Pro fell sht of the burden of proof, but you still gave him argument points. That is not right, as he had the burden of proof. I will request that you change your vote.

Even if my "Saying God is evil is a contradiction" argument was bad, it does not matter as pro had the burden of proof, and I showed that he did not meet it. Would you please kindly change your vote?

FruityTree votebombed one one of my debates.

http://www.debate.org...

She said the resolution could be true even if God existed, but this ignored my airtight proof that this was false. If God exists, he can prove himself. Thus, God can be proven. Thus, this was clearly a votebomb. Someone please counter it.

RT I didn't vote bomb you, you just misunderstood the resolution and thought it includes God!!!

The resolution is the Christian God cannot be proved .

The question is what does the instigator mean, is he talking about MEN or really about anything else, I understand it by men cause there is no reason I should understand it otherwise, also because it is Also because if it includes GOD then the resolution would be just ridiculous!!

It does include God, because God has the ability to prove himself. If God hjas the ability to prove himself, then the Christian God can be proven. Thus, the resolution includes God.

The resolution was:

"The Christian God cannot be proven"

NOT

"The Christian God cannot be proven BY MEN".

My opponent voted based on a resolution we were not debating. Therefore, her vote is invalid.

wise old probability says we all will be hit by votebombs at one point in time or another. I think the current system of posting in the thread dedicated to it works fine.

I got votebombed here. My opponent conceded that my argument was irrefutable:

"Again, though, technically the argument cannot be refuted as a fundamental contradiction is built-in to Pro's assumed definitions."

For some reason, I got voted against without valid RFD. Can someone please counter?
