Knowing that true name of Mr. God may not have been as vital as I thought it would be, but it was pretty damn close. I could tell from Zaradi's hushed tone and worried face that a huge cat was just let out of the bag and that I now had the potential to completely destabilize everything that they had worked to keep for the last 10 years..... All that was holding me back was the threat that if I did spill the beans, then my friends would be the ones horrendously tortured, and even then there wasn't much of a guarantee that people would believe me anyways.
But it was still worth it.
There was a knock at the door: "Captain, we are approaching the shore! we should be there in about 30 minutes"
Zaradi looked back at me. "When was the last time you've really had to go zombie killin?"
"Its been quite a while" I replied
"One of my men will escort you back to the rest of the group, I wasn't able to spare you from being in the initial landing wave, so I hope your aim is still good" - Zaradi
Reunited with my friends in the mess hall, I could see that the last few hours of their lives weren't nearly as pleasant as mine, they still looked as exhausted as ever. Before we could exchange stories though, xXCryptoXx and his assistant Sarcastic_Indeed ordered us into line and gave us our orders
"TODAY, VE VILL BE LANDING IN FLORIDA, YOU ARE ZE FIRST PEOPLE WHO VILL LAND AT ZE BEACHES" - Crypto
"Weapons are being handed out to you as we speak" - Sarcastic
They went on for a bit about how if we were to run away we would be shot, eyes scooped out, yatta yatta yatta, I was more concerned with the weapons they were giving us to fight with...... And Im not so sure why they are called 'weapons'.....
YYW got a hammer
Antidoter got an ice pick
Phantom got a pointy rock
and I got a phillips head screwdriver......
Crypto yammered on while the four of us exchanged commentary on our bullsh** weapons.
"What the f*ck am I supposed to do with a screwdriver, fix the zombies's cabinets?" - Me
"At least yours has a handle, I have a f*cking rock for f*cks sake, what the hell am I supposed to do?" - Phantom
"Anyone wanna trade? I think this hammer is made out of wood or something" - YYW
"I think that Antidoter's bucket of sh** could kill zombies better then these f*cking things" - Me
"LET IT GO ALREADY" - Antidoter
Crypto overheard us
"VHY ARE YOU TALKING VHEN I AM TALKING!??!?!?!? UNACCEPTABLE!!!" - Crypto
"We are a little confused as to why our weapons are classified as weapons, sir" - Me
"YOURE VEAPONS ARE VINE AND YOU VILL USE ZHEM IN ZHE INVASION!" - Me
"Dude this guy is armed with a f*cking pointy rock" - Some stranger standing next to Phantom said
"EITHER YOU KEEP YOUR VEAPONS OR YOU SHALL GO IN WITH NOTHING AT ALL, IS THAT VHAT YOU VANT?" - Crypto
"Id rather go in with an actual weapon then this busted dildo!" - Some other stranger said, waving around an actual dildo that was missing the tip as the weapon he was armed with.
"Someone got a broken dildo as a weapon? Well sh** suddenly a screwdriver doesn't sound so bad" - I whispered to Anti
Crypto would have continued yelling in fury had an anonymous henchmen nazi not come in and informed everyone that we are going to land on the beach. Crypto then quickly ushered us onto the deck and into the rowboats, yelling at us about stupid sh** the entire time. As we rowed, I periodically turned around to see the the approaching coastline and maybe locate some landmarks so that I had an idea of what we were near. All I could see were some towering, run-down hotels that had long been battered by storms, hurricanes, rust, and neglected maintenance. I might have recognized the place had it not been left to such a dilapidated state.
We rowed closer, and this time we were getting help from the waves as they pushed us ever closer to the sandy shores and palm trees, which were the only signs of Florida that didn't look affected by upwards of 10 years of a zombie apocalypse.
I began to feel nervous. What would happen if the place was crawling with zombies even though I told Innomen that it would be practically empty? Would I be killed or have my eyes scooped out? Would my friends?
I grew more and more nervous as we grew closer, and the only way I could keep a hold of myself was to row harder and harder, which in turn brought us closer to the shore that much faster, making me more and more nervous.... It was a vicious cycle.
Suddenly the boat stopped and we all lurched forward.
"VE HAVE HIT ZE SAND, EVERYONE OUT OF ZE BOAT! ATTACK ZE SHORE!" - Crypto
Im guessing no one told this dipsh** that it would be better to stealthily sneak onto the shore like Navy Seals rather then storm it like it was f*cking Normandy, but nobody else seemed to know the difference either and all of them, minus me and my friends, jumped out and ran full speed towards the shore.
3 hours had passed since we landed on the beach and there was no sign of any zombies or any people anywhere on the Island. it turns out that the place we landed on was the eastern shore of Key Biscayne, Ryuu's hometown. After we had established a base at the dilapidated hotel, I was summoned to Innomen's headquarters where I told him everything about Key Biscayne..... Mostly that it was only accessible from a bridge in the North part of the island and how the only thing on the islands were that, the park also in the North where Ryuu hid out for a bit during the initial outbreak, and the suburbs on the southern part of the Island that should probably be checked out
Upon hearing this info, Innomen split his forces into three groups, the lower ranking people would either scout the town or secure the bridge, and the higher ranking men would scour to ensure that there weren't any zombies anywhere.
Me and my friends were assigned to the bridge, which was only a ten minute walk away, and we got there in no time before we received our orders to begin fortifying it with nearby rubble, tree branches, and anything else we could find
"On the bright side its not that hot out and we haven't had to kill a single zombie." - YYW
"Maybe this place really is empty" - Anti
"I hope so, at least for now.... Remember that on the other side of this bridge is the city of Miami, so I don't know what to expect" - Me
"Once those guys clear out the southern suburbs we should be able to set up a good defense on here" - Phantom
We continued to build a defense that was about as imposing as a 2 foot tall wood fence for the better half of the day before we spotted something on the other side of the bridge.
"Guys, we got company!" - Antidoter
Everyone looked out and saw what looked like the outlines of three horses standing in the middle of the damn road in the distance. They had four legs like a horse and their head was also on a long neck like that of a horse....... But they didn't move like a horse......
Everyone grew quiet and squatted down behind the wall that could have been made out of legos for what it was worth, and we waited as the horses drew closer.
We figured out pretty quick they weren't horses.
"Dude, what the f*** IS that?" - YYW
As the three creatures drew closer we could see that they had blotchy skin, clouded eyes, claws, and looked like they all had a mean case of rabies..... They also were groaning and panting as if they were craving for something to not just eat, but to devour
"Holy f***, they look like giant dogs that became zombified!"
Then out of nowhere, they sprang at us at full speed.
