I know Ore_Ele just had one, but there's already been a ton of debating in the forums about the election since then so here's another poll. http://poll.pollcode.com...

Well, I did for starters. You're the only one with a policy I agree with re: banning

So... What happens if they decide NOT to give him moderator powers? Just curious.

Do you have MOD powers? Plus, he might be able to convince Juggle to give his VP those powers. And for all his bluster, imabench has made some fairly big contributions to the site and has shown genuine concern (just as all the candidates have) for the welfare of the site. I don't think he would deserve those powers less than any one of you.

Well I never said he didn't deserve powers. Just asking you a simple question.

I gave a simple answer. It sounds like you're taking my response personally--that is not how I intended it.

But if Juggle doesn't give you mod powers if you become president, then I think it may be hard for you to do part of your job. The case is the same for imabench. Ultimately, we all are going into this election with the implicit understanding that any president we elect may not actually get mod powers.

What is there to take personally? lol. I was actually, just satisfying my curiosity, believe it or not. Let me explain: I see members give support of candidates for the lone reason of a promise they make which really requires an external force. I was just musing at how important moderation powers are to users, and apparently with the support that bench is getting from expressing plans of actions that requires moderation powers, I am starting to see that to some members, there isn't really need for a president, and we should actually be electing a new mod.

But if Juggle doesn't give you mod powers if you become president, then I think it may be hard for you to do part of your job.

And what do you think the job of the president is? Again, just out of curiosity.

Interesting. So in such a scenario, what else did you like about benches campaign that in a fallback of him getting mod powers, means you would still rather vote him over the other candidates platforms?

I do think we should be able to elect a President who automatically gets mod-powers (Juggle could revoke those if they got really bad) but I see mod-powers as something that should inhere to the office.

But if Juggle doesn't give you mod powers if you become president, then I think it may be hard for you to do part of your job.

And what do you think the job of the president is? Again, just out of curiosity.

The President should be more than just a go-between for the DDO community and Juggle, he or she should also be the executor of the rules, and by that I mean the TOS.

The case is the same for imabench. Ultimately, we all are going into this election with the implicit understanding that any president we elect may not actually get mod powers.

Interesting. So in such a scenario, what else did you like about benches campaign that in a fallback of him getting mod powers, means you would still rather vote him over the other candidates platforms?

1. I think Bench will be more vociferous and persistant in his attempts to bring about certain additions to the DDO community (like automatic loses for FF debate) than other candidates

2. On the off-chance that Juggle did give the president mod-powers, I would rather Bench have those powers due to his liberal banning policy
