If the debate asserts that person A could defeat person B and the second round is for cases with no rebuttals, and then pro states disadvantages for person B in round two, does that count as a rebuttal?

I suppose you are referring to your debate against Bsh1. No, it doesn't. A rebuttal is when your opponent directly responds/refutes a point or an argument you brought forth. Sometimes it happens that to make a case you have to attack the opposite one, but as long as the attack does not include points the other person brought forth, then I wouldn't consider it a rebuttal.

I think it would not be a rebuttal. The case that A would defeat B would show how the strengths of A match with the weaknesses of B, and how A defends against B's strengths. similarly, the opponent would argue how how the strengths of B match with the weaknesses of A, and how B defends against A's strengths. The basic cases have to refer to strengths and weaknesses. However, if the B case responds to a specific point made by the A case, then that could be a rebuttal. For example, if B contends that a claimed strength is overrated.

At most the conduct point is at issue.

Ninja,

You could have just asked me, lol...I think this will shape up into a great round, though.

Looked at his debates. Picked out the obvious one he could be referring to.
