My opponent has a paradox in his resolution. Is it acceptable to take advantage of this mistake, or should I try to argue against his intended resolution?

Either or. Depends on how you go about either way.

What debate are you talking about specifically?

Parents must take classes and pass tests before being allowed to have children.

If individuals are parents they cannot take test BEFORE they become parents..

Is it bad I don't even see the paradox?

But nah, you can use the fact that the resolution is paradoxical to your advantage (probably, I still don't see the paradox xD)

That's a rather weak one. I would simply attack his intended resolution, although calling someone out on a poor rez is perfectly acceptable in debate and often a good strategy.

Oh that?

That's not really a paradox so much as it is semantics. I'd argue the way the resolution was intended.

Ok, thanks!

Can you post a link to the debate? I want to read it and I'm not seeing it the list of debates on your profile page for some reason.
