Alright, so the votes for past debates recently came out, and I decided to investigate to see who's been vote-bombing me constantly. Most of the voters were n00bs. However, I was very surprised at some of the vote-bombers.

The Debates:
http://www.debate.org...
http://www.Debate.org...
http://www.Debate.org...
http://www.Debate.org...
http://www.Debate.org...
http://www.Debate.org...
http://www.Debate.org...
http://www.Debate.org...
http://www.Debate.org...
http://www.Debate.org...
http://www.Debate.org...
http://www.Debate.org...
http://www.debate.org...
Note that all debates listed here were pretty one-sided in the fact that I was the more-or-less obvious victor. Feel free to attempt to justify your votes.
Most of these were just the ones that I lost. There were many more that I won, but barely, due to more vote-bombs.

The Vote Bombers:

Vi_Veri – 9
SaintNick – 6
JBlake – 5
theLwerd – 5
Agnostic – 3
Gmoney – 3
LaSalle – 4
Comoncents – 3
Youngblood – 2
Numa – 2
Lwerd - 2

I dismissed all who seemed to vote-bomb me only once as just a situational misplacement.

So, any explanations for why SaintNick, JBlake, and comoncents all decided to vote-bomb me at about the same time two months ago? Or why Lwerd, a temporary account, was used to vote against me?

Of course, the easiest thing theLwerd could do to justify herself would be to cite evidence of any vote-bombing performed by myself against her. I wish her good luck in finding such evidence, because it does not exist.

I think that if there are going to be callout threads like these, that they should just be compiled in one big thread because I can seriously imagine Phil shutting down the voter tab based on how many flame wars are gonna arise. And I seriously don't want to lose the voter tab with the way I experiment with this site and all.

wow. Lwerd voted everything against you twice. Good thing we have this new voting thing to find the source of those pesky votebombers :)

I vote-bombed you when I first came on this site, I forget what we were arguing about. But I changed my votes back to zero after a little bit. I'm not sure why I didn't like you initially. No hard feelings.

I looked at a few of my debates as well, and Agnostic vote-bombed me quite a bit.

*crickets chirp as mongeese realizes that this thread is meaningless and is TL;DR not to mention that everyone would stop reading at JBlake being a votebomber and laugh then realize that mongeese got what he deserved and has learned his lesson and should think hard the next time he presses the report button on a prominent member*

We were arguing over some semantics problems and how heavy the burden is when a debater makes a prediction, as well as grammar stuff, but that's in the past now. I noticed all of the Tied votes.

This voting thing will turn a lot of people against each other.

Like I pointed out in the other thread, I had a friend of mine vote against me every time he voted.

Hey, this isn't fair! I want to vote-bomb people but I'm not allowed to vote at all because I'm not an American! (F/A/O newbies, you have to have a US or Canadian cellphone to register on this site).

Joking aside, though, I've lost more debates than I've won, mainly because I deserved to lose them, but also because I've been vote-bombed.

At the end of the day, I tend to attach more notice of the comments than the votes - especially as most people don't give RFD's.

My fear exactly. If we are going to discuss this (which we obviously will, especially considering the number of members who have been bombed), let's keep it here and keep it within the TOS. Spawning retaliatory bombing, member wars, and the like were obviously not Phil's intentions when he finished this thing and I doubt he'd hesitate to remove it.

As a victim of bombing in the past, I appreciated being able to ID the culprits. If I was still suffering (in terms of losses) in any of these, I'd likely even post those debates here. However, it's probably best to leave names out of it and let those users inclined to correct bombing identify the responsible parties themselves. Calling people out will only lead to defensiveness and perhaps further misconduct on their part.

now that i look at it, i have been vote bombed too. Has anyone noticed that if Vi_Veri has a debate, Lwerd votes everything for her, and vice versa?

Um, as far as I know, vote bombing is giving someone the full 7 points which is not actually breaking the rules. If someone makes multiple accounts and gives themselves 7 points, then it's a problem and they need to be banned.

I would agree for the most part. But if someone gives another all 7 without regards to the quality of the debate rather because of who they know or agree with. Then it is vote bombing. But it is very hard to prove when that is the case.

mongeese, who are you kidding? The votes of people like wjmelements and mongoose on some of your debates (especially with me) are indicative only of incredibly idiocy on their part or vote bombing.

Clearly, there has been much votebombing against me, by:

SaintNick: 5
Vi: 2

JBlake: 2

I am very disappointed in all of the aforementioned debaters, especially theLwerd, for horrendous vote-bombing, and in TheLwerd's case even multi-accounting for such a purpose. Do you have any explanation? You went so far as to accuse mongeese of bombing you, even though he is clearly innocent, while you bombed him repeatedly. You have no dignity.

I would be pleased if people would kindly vote for me in these debates. Thank you.

RFDs heal all wounds. Read them.
Additionally, the debates I cited were the mongeesewinobvious ones. I received no 7-point votes where they could not be easily justified.
