I recently finished a rap battle. After looking at the votes I was honestly surprised to see that it is currently in a tie. I have a valid issue with the first person who voted, not because he didn't award me points but because he gave my opponent points for S & G which is absolutely absurd. I'm thinking since they are both 14 there might be something more to this than what meets the eye. So I ask the DDO community, is this my first vote bomb?

Yes, with no sufficient RFD that is considered a vote bomb and you may report it accordingly.

Okay, thank you for the info. That S & G vote infuriated me.

sadly I don't think so. It is not a typical debate where you can contest an RFD. I have been through this with others and even asked max his opinion on it. ( He does think only 3 points are required to vote) but It is still really hard to get stuff like that removed on a rap battle or troll debates because of the type of debate it is.

I have got hit with 7 point bombs and have received them in favor. Unless there is some criteria set for judging on rap or troll debates, there is almost no way to get it removed. You can look at some of mine to see what i mean.

I totally get what you're saying. I guess that is the risk that comes with doing troll or rap debates. Have you gotten a chance to review mine though? It's really just the S & G vote I have an issue with. It's clear who had better S & G, so when someone votes like that I just wish I could get a valid reason because in my mind - there isn't one.

Did you read the RFD? It simply said: X KILLED Y in this debate. Full 7 points.

yeah its a shtty vote lol. Go look at that fringe when I went on a rap battle spree. I had like 4-7 bomb votes on both sides, and just came to the conclusion after discussing it with people that they are almost impossible to remove. There is virtually not outline for a debate like that

note (Max did say he only promotes and would encourage voting 3 points one way or the other)

Just saying I have bombs stuck on some of my debates that I could not get off. I think it is a risk when you run troll debates. Look at some of imas

He has votes in favor and against him with like a ... rfd

3 out of 4 were fail votes, and have been reported as such.

I liked Mikal's proposed voting method that he used. It seems to be the best system in terms of voting on rap battles.

I agree, and would suggest including such a standard in the first round setup for all future rap battles.

The other votes however... There was even one which gave unwarranted points, solely because others had done likewise. Mikals and now Wylted seem to be quality votes IMO, even if unconventional.

That first vote was a vote bomb, and that member's voting privileges should be subject to review.
