How can one win when theyve taken a debate...

.....only to debate a descriptive phrase that was used in acceptance by the host?

And not just that, but every relevant argument they made actually concerning the motion of the debate, was prefixed with "the following information is not for voting purposes".

How can a person possibly win such a debate?

"Evolution is not well-supported" is a descriptive phrase? Hardly. That's a positive statement. You could split the burden of proof either way or down the middle, but ultimately you had the harder case to make the evidence behind evolution is pretty darn unequivocal. I haven't read all of the debate yet, but I'm sure that's why he's winning. That, and posting topics like this to call your point out because you're salty about a clear loss doesn't bode well for you.
