I personally think the system should have a "forfeit points system". You start out with 10 points and lose one point if your forfeit one round. If 10 points are lost, you are temporarily banned for 3 days. Then you are returned with the 10 points. And each time you reach zero points, the punishment time doubles! Soon enough, they'll be almost unable to do debate.org, learning their lesson.

You will gain one point each 5 debates you don't forfeit, up to a total possible 15 points.
(the time forfeit, not concession forfeit)

If the moderators, or anyone else don't like this policy, I will cancel it and will not post it if I get elected president.
If people do agree, you out there--whoever is president right now, post the rule please. It'll make everyone happier.
(seriously. I've won 9 debates already with people [time] forfeiting. It doesn't matter how flimsy or troll my arguments are, I always win!)

I agree, but I believe that their should be a way to nullify some of it. Say a debater has a family emergency and can't respond in time, thus forfeiting a round. If the opponent acknowledges this they should be able to pardon their opponent from the punishment.

they have 10 points, it's reasonable toe assume that they'd make up for it.

2 debates should equal 1 points and 3 without any forfeits should equal 2.

Ok that would make sense. And yes, family emergencies will be excused, as well as other emergencies. You just have to "report to moderator" and he will see if you are really inactive during that time.
