Yeah, it's annoying.

WebCorp is using ads from ValueClick Media. Though, I wouldn't get rid of the ads just yet. I'm sure they'll change it soon, so why take away from a site which you love?

Yeah, these ads are pissing me off. Has anyone else gotten this?

http://i50.tinypic.com... It isn't really a window but a regular ad which poops itself right in the middle of the page, blocking any links or content sitting behind it. Ridiculous.

I mean seriously: talking advertisements, un-closable "windows" inlaid on the page that block content behind it, constantly-moving ads, and perhaps worst of all Evony.

Seriously, debate.org, this is not classy. I have lost so much respect for the invisible webwizards who control this site.

I like google chrome better.

Google chrome just recently introduced "extensions" which are addons essentially.

Chrome is pretty awesome. It has a lot of intuitive features which make it super user-friendly. It's a new browser, so some things are still being worked through, but I feel like it's way easier to use than any other browser.

Yeah, I've e-mailed WebCorp. I suggest others do the same.

The talking ads are really starting to piss me off. I love Google Chrome and don't want to go back to Firefox for a friggen ad-blocker.

Are you sure its active, or even installed? Assuming you have the most recent Firefox, go to 'Tools' and 'Add-ons,' and see if AdBlock Plus is there.

If it isn't, then it isn't installed. If it is, but says its disabled, enable it. Thats about how far I can help.

How fail.

Thats the actual Chrome website, so if it doesn't work there, I'd seriously suggest a change.

All of the comments on that site imply that Firefox's ABP is so many times better.

Personally, I have never gotten a talking advertisement.
It is odd when one's capacity for compassion is measured not in what he is willing to do by his own time, effort, and property, but what he will force others to do with their own property instead.

In another thread about this, I said "Thanks Volkov" for the link and PoeJoe said "You should really be thanking Someone John" and then linked to another forum where Someone John was the first person to post the link (the same one Volkov did) to show you how to block ads. In that forum, he said just click "cancel" after you dl it instead of setting anything up... So I dl it and hit cancel, and I still get the talking ads.
