I was just curious. First off, I think the law is a great thing for this site. Secondly, does that mean we can't personally insult others on DDO? What about people outside of DDO like Benito Mussolini and Pew Die Pie. Those are the two people that come off the top of my head in terms of personal insults. Is there are possible thread people can't point me too?

The policy is detailed in this thread, which also includes a lengthy discussion about it:

As for insulting Mussolini, the policy doesn't preclude this. However, I would recommend stating reasons why you think he's an idiot (if you think so), and worth insulting, rather than just insulting him in general, which wouldn't provide much substance or reason for discussion.

Mussolini was a real piece of work. Bloody fascist. But hey... at least the trains ran on time.

Other than the commuter rail scheduling, Italian fascism produced some brilliant architecture... but that's the only other positive thing I have to say, even though the architecture thing has far less to do with Mussolini himself than the zeitgeist of fascist Italy.

Even with regards to the most blatantly negative, one can find some things that are positive. I'm sure I can probably come up with some other positive things about Italy during that time period and similarly with Germany... but I don't think I will. I do happen to be a big fan of Italian food though.

Italian fascism was quite a bit more tame and less bloodthirsty than German national socialism... but I really have nothing positive to say about the Nazi's other than that stealing their scientists after the end of WWII gave us a useful edge against the Soviets in the cold war to come. But, that's not to say that any part of the Third Reich was good. It was only useful.

I do happen to be a big fan of Italian food though.

Me too lol

What about insulting former members who aren't here anymore?
