In order to challenge Ajab's DDO Euclideans, I am coming up with my own, the DDO Republic. We are similar to Ajab's Euclideans, in that we discuss, debate, share ideas, help each other and don't have to face bigotry and stupidity from those politically inferiorly-minded. Unlike the Euclideans, you might have noticed, we are centred around politics, economics, current affairs, political philosophy, political ethics, law and areas similar to these. However seeing as I don't specialise in all these topics, I will look to appoint someone as leader. This is just so that there is also a DDO community for those intellectually capable and interested in the aforementioned areas, as well as a centre for all things in regards to the topics without the idiocy we see in the forums. There will also be hopefully weekly updates, and if I get a good leader hopefully frequent update and discussion, as well as getting some inter-DDOR debates going. But, competition between the DDO Republic and DDO Euclideans is what I really want to see. Two rival clans, it would be a heck of a lot of fun. So, please join! I really want to see turf wa...I mean inter-clan discussion take place. Thanks, and join!

Good, two people already. 9space, didn't think you were invested in any of these fields. Could you send me a link to a debate about one of these topics? I mean, I'm not going to be elitist, but I mean...you are a notable troll, and not on the top of my list when I think about politics/economics.

Actually, to make things more democratic, I think once we have enough people applying we'll have elections; yes, that'd be better.

In regards to updates, I'm thinking daily current affairs and discussion updates, as well as weekly debates, discussions on anything. I think I might have to start off, but I am hoping that this becomes a big thing. Thanks!

Awesome, but don't be scared to take me out. I love talking about politics, which is a shame because I don't know as much as I'd like about it. I'm trying to get more comfortable debating political issues, but need to work on my role of government arguments, because everything stems from that mostly.

Honestly, as much as you like. I am not going to be in anyway despotic. As long as you join, you are free to spend as much time in it as you like.

Because there is already the religion forums? That is like pouring water in a cup under a swimming pool.

Ah, but that's an important aspect about it...it will organize and coordinate troll activity to make it more effective. Signups are located in the Religion Forum too.

I just wanted to make sure that by joining this, I'm not making a commitment that I can't keep because during the school year I am always very busy. I think I'll consider joining because I love discussion over social/political issues.

I'd definitely be happy with you joining. There is no serious commitment needed. Join in discussions when you want. I'm totally happy with that.
