The toll of the bell called the faithful unto worship.
Hundreds of people ascended the steps to enter Brooklyn Plural Church. Install Gentoo, age 22, was among them. He walked into the sanctuary, one with the crowd of believers.
In the line he waited until he reached the first part of the pilgrimage. He laid his hand on the smiling statute and closed his eyes.
"Sigmund Freud," Install said. "I venerate you with my words and my actions. Thank you for teaching mankind the truth, that suppression of the desires of our true selves is a cage to our spirits, and that only through the freedom that comes through being true to ourselves can we be free. Your name will be lifted high forever and ever. Amen."
Then, Install opened his eyes and waited in line for about one minute until he reached the second part of the pilgrimage, which was the Veneration of the Second Saint. He put his hand on the second statue and closed his eyes again.
"Oprah Winfrey," Install said. "I venerate you with my words and my actions. Thank you for teaching mankind the truth, that all paths on the road to Heaven are valid, and that we must evolve beyond judging those who have chosen a different path than we have. Your name will be lifted high forever and ever. Amen."
Then, Install opened his eyes again and walked towards the third statue, which was the third part of the pilgrimage. He placed his hand on the statute and began praying.
"Charles Darwin," Install said. "I venerate you with my words and my actions. Thank you for teaching mankind the truth, that we came from the love of an evolving Universe and not in six days as men in the age of darkness falsely believed. Your name will be lifted high forever and ever. Amen."
Then, Install prayed to the Fourth Saint.
"Karl Marx," Install said. "I venerate you with my words and my actions. Thank you for teaching mankind the truth, that that the wonderful equality of man can be achieved through an all-powerful and benevolent government. Your name will be lifted high forever and ever. Amen."
Then Install moved on to the Fifth Saint.
"Margaret Sanger, I venerate you with my words and my actions. Thank you for teaching mankind the truth of the rights of women, which is achieved through liberating them from the bondage of childbirth and marriage. Your name will be lifted high forever and ever. Amen."
Then Install moved on to the Sixth Saint.
"Barack Obama, I venerate you with my words and my actions. Thank you for teaching mankind the truth of the rights of racial and sexual minorities. Your name will be lifted high forever and ever. Amen."
Finally, he moved on to the Seventh Saint.
"Jesus Christ, I venerate you with my words and my actions. Thank you for teaching mankind the truth of loving thy neighbor. Amen."
His prayers to the Saints having been said, he silently walked out of the house of worship.

He walked into the Parking Lot and got into the car.
"Well that didn't take long at all," Install's friend, Christian Punk, said. "Come on, let's go to the club."
Unlike Install Gentoo, Christian Punk was an anarchist, meaning that his prayers to the Saints did not take place in any kind of church.
Install smiled, started the car...and drove off as fast as he could.

The year is 2041. The United Nations has become the unchallenged governing body of the entire world in the aftermath of the Third World War. This is the story of men and women who live in the End of Days, people like Install Gentoo and his friend Christian Punk.

Solonkr~
I don't care about whether an ideology is "necessary" or not,
I care about how to solve problems,
which is what everyone else should also care about.

Ken~
In essence, the world is fucked up and you can either ignore it, become cynical or bitter about it.
