Jesus walked around a lot and probably did some camping, so he'd have to have a portable instrument that wasn't too susceptible to bad weather. Maybe a flute.

sooo not a harp then?...lol
apparently an oboe is considered a holy instrument.
Here is a musical religious piece featuring an orchestra and oboes.

Not a violin, apparently they are satanic :)

No stringed instrument. They don't do well in changing weather.

apparently an oboe is considered a holy instrument.

Probably too cumbersome to carry around. I'm thinking maybe a tin whistle.

Not a violin, apparently they are satanic :)

Too fragile for Jesus' lifestyle.

Yeah, it is still considered one of the most frequently mentioned instruments in the bible and architecture i.e depictions of cherubs strumming a harp. Then again, I have seen religious depictions of cherubs playing violins. Maybe that cherub was a young satan...

yep, thats the way to go!

A harmonica so he could easily carry it around and play the blues for all his downtrodden brethren.

Angelic Choir. Big sound and fits in your pocket - or even on the head of a pin if required.

That would be a good choice for Jesus.
