Hey fellas,

I didn't foresee having to do this, but it appears that I'm going to have to take some time off. After reviewing some paperwork for my upcoming semester, I've found that I may actually be up a creek without a paddle. I doubt I'll even have time to breathe, never mind debate. And let's face it: this is one addicting site. Unfortunately I must at this time bid you all farewell, though you have my promise that I'll be back.

I apologize for the sudden departure and late notice. I am especially sorry to Blade-of-Truth; he graciously asked me to join his Council and I told him only a day ago that I should have time to participate. Regrettably, circumstances beyond my control have rendered this commitment impossible, though undoubtedly it is worthy of attention and respect. I salute him, the rest of the Council, and anyone else actively working to improve the site.

Now, as a bit of comic relief for this otherwise somber post. There have been complaints as late that the site is "too childish": too bogged down in mafia, socializing, et al. in lieu of intellectual debate. I'm going to change that right now by proposing the most intellectualized mafia setups ever -- and that's an appeal to John Maynard Keynes (glory to his name), so it must be true.

(What's interesting is a lot of people think I'm a crazy mafia mod. Go figure!)

Setup 1

Cult Recruiter
Mason Mafia Recruiter
Werewolf
Godfather Joat
Joat
Joat
Joat
Joat

Setup 2
Godfather Joat
Godfather Joat
Flavored Joat
Flavored Joat
Actual Joat
Actual Joat
Dreamer
Cult Recruiter

Anyway, soak those in. Try one. I dare you.

Anyway, time to say my farewell until we meet again.

Best,

Joey

Yes, and with out school, a nation would not be successful. In a democracy, the populous have to be educated to make informed decisions, since the majority rule. If the majority aren't educated, people would make haphazardly decisions.

Trades with other countries would be a fiasco because you need to know the value of money. This is taught in school, I am pretty sure around 1st grade to 3rd grade.(Personal experience). You can end up trading 100 us dollars for 100 Russian Federation rupees. That would be bad.

https://www.google.com...

School can develop time management and builds character. It prepares pupils for rigorous educational courses in college and may prepare its student body for the real world, which involves time management.

School teaches mathematical skills, and in a world where counting is critical, this is important. An uneducated, illiterate person may not know how much 3 dollars are and give 10 dollars instead of 3.

So the moral of the lesson is that school does not suck.

With out school, you most likely could not read this reply, or use your keyboard to construct sentences to communicate with other homo sapiens sapiens that make up the DDO user body. So school does not suck.

I did not know if that was joking, or relaying your distaste of an educational institution since its education courses were planned without regard for its student body's leisure activities and directly impeded their communications with other people on a social network.

I was kidding -.-

Moral of the story... learn how to take a joke

I did not know if that was joking, or relaying your distaste of an educational institution since its education courses were planned without regard for its student body's leisure activities and directly impeded their communications with other people on a social network.

Why would I hate school? I'm Asian, for heaven's sake!

It is like saying African Americans shouldn't hate basket ball, that British people shouldn't hate tea and crumpets, or that Germans shouldn't hate orders given to them.

That was also a joke.

Live a little.

If that is a joke, it should go in the Funny forum.

If you would live a little, you would just drop it and stop being an @$$ to me -.-

I am just joking around. I am usually known as a wise cracker at my school. Sorry if I offended you.

Yes, and that is what started with discussion. I thought you actually had a distaste for school since you typed, school sucks. So I offered the benefits of school.
