I feel like there are an increasing number of people who have usernames structured like this:

The[adjective][noun]

Why is that?

Is this a new generation of DDO users? (Even though Drafterman was the first, I think?)

I hate usernames like that - they're the worst.

It's just interesting how people have usernames that follow a certain pattern:

[adjective][noun]
The[adjective][noun]
[letter][letter][letter]
([letter][letter]...)([number]...)
etc...

I don't care about whether an ideology is "necessary" or not,
I care about how to solve problems,
which is what everyone else should also care about.

Wow. That is ironic consider I was the one who suggested that this format was indicative of RationalMadman-ness. I never realized it was in my own username!

While people certainly adopted this format to pretend to be Rationalmadman (or in mock honor) of him, there may be some sort of innate aesthetic to that kind of name.

Looking at the forum leader we have:
royal paladin
drafter man
T(he)U(ltimate)F(ighter)
Budda moose
F-16 Fighting Falcon
Love Life
Khaos Mage
bossy burrito
dark kermit
Cerebral Narcissist
social pinko
blue steel
Black Void
Rational Thinker
MadCornish Biker
Conservative Politico
ESocial Bookworm
Wallstreet Atheist
popculture pooka
Grey parrot
Cosmic Alfonzo
Detectable Ninja
studentathelete christian8
Endarkened Rationalist
black hawk1331
Hardcore Pwnography

So there is some appeal to this general format.

Well either way. Everybody has at least one quality of being redeemable. Lest us not judge someone by their username... even if their name is something like Hardcore Pwnography, Massive Dump, NiamC, Rational Madman, burningpuppies 101...

Besides, EndarkenedRationalist is a cool cat :)
