Tell me, if the Instigator takes Pro position on a resolution of this nature and fails to maintain the BOP of showing that the Bible is absolute, should he be awarded argument points?

I seriously want to know because if that is the case, then I will openly join forces with Mikal for having Shadowkings voting privileges suspended. It's painfully obvious he is awarding free points to his buddy - but I need the community to confirm that I am right.

If I am wrong, I will gladly back down and let this slide, but I believe an injustice is occurring. Pro failed to prove his own resolution - so why is he being awarded argument points?

I read your debate, and I'm in 100% argument with you that failure to uphold one's BOP is grounds for losing arguments points -- in fact, it mandates that the person with the BOP lose argument points. Under a dual burden I could see a case in assessing individual arguments on a preponderance-of-evidence scale, but in this case truth_seeker had the full burden of proof.

Also, I found shadowking's comment that "it says convincing arguments, not burden of proof" to be positively baffling. I would laugh if I didn't think he was actually being serious.

Not sure how relevant it is, but I got hit by a pretty bad RFD of his too vs Truth Seeker:

Where virtually all of his RFD was him making his own arguments (that didn't exist in the debate) and voting based on those...

This was interesting, a debate in which he null voted instead of just voting in Truth Seeker's favor... Anyone have a count on how many times he's voted for Truth Seeker, and if any of those times he actually voted against him?

I think my vote showcases my disagreement. I could have voted on nearly any issue in that debate and still voted your way, but the way he kept trying to show he'd met his BoP and then proceeded to shift his way out of those arguments was something to behold. The BoP's on him, and even if it wasn't, I'd say there were just too many contradictions in truthseeker's arguments to feasibly give him a vote on cogency alone.
