In an attempt to do something constructive with the polls section, I have created the following polls about this campaign's hot-button issue: "toxic" members of the community.

I'm curious whether this is an issue that only a few people care strongly about or whether there are broader opinions on the topic, so please respond even if you don't care about the issue.

Are "toxic" members a major issue on DDO:

The spectrum of choices is very narrow. I would change the first to repeated violation of the ToS.

I wish you would have framed that question in regards to how we want to fix it. I agree that a ban is when someone violates the TOS on several levels and occasions, but I also think the TOS ( in this case the moderation policy that is an extension of it) should be changed to some degree

That is a problem inherent to polling. I left open the option to add your own response, otherwise you can pick which response best fits and clarify with a comment.

I thought about that but didnt want to create a bunch of polls and scare people away. So I picked two questions on the topic.

I see. Had not realized it was possible to add one's own answers.

It seems that the general conseneus of the definition of a toxic a user is:

I would refine that. Just because you call someone stupid or dumb, does not make you a toxic users. Its when you continue to do it after the person tells you to stop, just so you can further conflict. In simple terms, you are a net loss to the site

Agreed. If a user tries to improve after insulting someone then they would not be considered toxic. If a user continues to insult and harrass others, then they should be considered toxic.

Toxicity is extremely vague.

You could say a racist shothead is toxic, but what about the holier than thou attitude a lot have?
