Ineligible votes are being taken out at the moment. It may be best to wait.

If you only count people with 500+ forum posts, then blade is in the lead 54 to 41. Omitting illegitimate votes isn't going to change this.

It'll be pretty dated quite quickly.

What I find most shocking is this: if you don't count everyone with fewer than 100 forum posts (which is not very extreme at all) then bladerunner goes from being 7 behind to being 8 ahead.

Ah, so you're systematically rating users and classifiying certain voices as unworthy of being given the right to be heard in an elitist fashion so as to manipulate the blade campaign into seeming more popular than Mikal's? DDO has become as true a state of politicking as twill ever be..

So then I suppose you'd also accuse of elitism anyone who doesn't think 10 year olds should be allowed to vote. Isn't almost your bedtime?

Yes, because "elitism" is universally bad.

Would you have a problem if a dog was elected to be the POTUS? If so, you're just an elitist, discriminating against animals.

Ad Hominems make me feel horny <3

I have literally no doubt that if these voters were for your candidate, you would be just as aggressively fighting for their voices to be heard. You want to treat a bunch of new users seeking to join the site like less than crap just for the name of gaining a few votes in an election? That is not promoting a culture of community; that's promoting a culture of systematic disregard for diversity and promoting elitism within the older portions of the community. I would leave the site if your suggestions were implemented; as it would be a hierarchy rather than a place for voices to b heard.

Unknowledgeable noobs who can be clearly proven as having no knowledge of the site shouldn't vote, but restricting and shaming them for voting as you are doing is unacceptable. Tis all I have to say.

Enough these pity parties for christ's sake. The noobs literally don't even care. We already have voting restrictions in place, they just aren't good enough. What I'm proposing would be very minimal.

1. I'm not shaming them. 2. Why would restricting them from voting be bad if they shouldn't vote, especially when considering that vote has the potential to harm other users.

Newer members of the site are analogous to animals now? Most warn out rebuttal ever is comparing a group of people to animals to degrade them, dude.

Ad Hominems make me feel horny <3

I have literally no doubt that if these voters were for your candidate, you would be just as aggressively fighting for their voices to be heard. You want to treat a bunch of new users seeking to join the site like less than crap just for the name of gaining a few votes in an election? That is not promoting a culture of community; that's promoting a culture of systematic disregard for diversity and promoting elitism within the older portions of the community. I would leave the site if your suggestions were implemented; as it would be a hierarchy rather than a place for voices to b heard.

Enough these pity parties for christ's sake. The noobs literally don't even care. We already have voting restrictions in place, they just aren't good enough. What I'm proposing would be very minimal.
Not a pity party. The majority of the people you refer to in your stats are not noobs and have been on the site for more than a month's time (in some cases, a year like kawaii) but are just more inactive than others.

You literally are generalizing groups of people; saying "I think they don't care, therefore, I, viewing myself higher than them and knowing their intentions, should be able to determine their right to vote". That's elitism.

Unknowledgeable noobs who can be clearly proven as having no knowledge of the site shouldn't vote, but restricting and shaming them for voting as you are doing is unacceptable. Tis all I have to say.

1. I'm not shaming them. 2. Why would restricting them from voting be bad if they shouldn't vote, especially when considering that vote has the potential to harm other users.
Maybe not purposefully or directly, but by referring to their votes as shallow, claiming they don't care about the site, and on balance calling it "harmful" for them to have voted, you are scaring them away and promoting a culture of shame for having voted if you're a newer member.

Everyone who cares should vote if they can. You can not generalize or determine whether they as a whole do or do not care, so therefore all-encompassing restrictions would be unfair.

Anyways, I am for more restrictions (in the case of needing a month's membership) but against the idea that on balance voting restrictions are too lax; or that Mikal's campaign would lose or win because of voters who shouldn't have a voice. The vast vast majority of the votes for both of the two campaigns are adequate.

Yes, because "elitism" is universally bad.

Would you have a problem if a dog was elected to be the POTUS? If so, you're just an elitist, discriminating against animals.

He's too busy hysterically whining to have time for this sort of thing, bossy.

Newer members of the site are analogous to animals now? Most warn out rebuttal ever is comparing a group of people to animals to degrade them, dude.

He didn't say that you dumbass. He's simply pointing out that some discrimination is unavoidable.

That's why you have three threads entirely dedicated to whining about voter restrictions in your name, and I don't right?

Get over yourself. I'm gonna leave before I succumb to your dumb ad homs like Harder did earlier. You're embarassing bladerunner and his campaign; as I genuinely believe he and the rest of his supporters have more stature and dignity than you do right now.

Harm people? Probably not. I just don't think he will be as good as bladerunner. How that's comparable to hysterical whining?

You're dishonestly representing what I said, now. Read my comment again, and then tell me exactly where I made a comparison between new members and animals. I gave an example as to why your use of a buzzword and anti-concept isn't an argument - I didn't do anything more.

Dalton, give a definition of elitism, and then explain how, in my example, by not supporting an animal for POTUS, you aren't an elitist.

I meant that in a general sense. All I was trying to say is that careless voting is not necessarily harmless.
