In your head, picture the following scenario:

There is a debate titled "U.S. Ground Troops to Fight ISIS". Pro instigates the debate as an open challenge and Con is some random user who accepts.
The first round is for acceptance; both sides just do what people normally do in Round 1.

Then, it's Round 2. Pro makes an argument using highly intellectual vocabulary and highly logical arguments. He makes a genius case.
Then, after Pro is finished, Con simply posts "bUrrP" as his round two argument. Then, in all the following rounds, Con forfeits.

Then, the debate finishes. You decide to vote on the debate. If you simply insert something nonsensical for your RFD, should it be deleted?

Wait...never mind the part about Con forfeiting. Rather, he posts one-word carp each round.

That is, FFs aside, whenever it's obvious who did made a better case, is an RFD necessary?

I've posted RFD's of simply "Forfeit" before, which I think still qualifies if someone is just posting one-word responses.

I'd post the word forfeit and just award conduct. I don't award argument points on those debates, because I think argument points deserve some explanation beyond one word.

There should still be "something" for an RFD. "Pro's arguments in R2 went unchallenged by Con." That took a whole 15 seconds. And on an iPhone.
