There used to be, alongside myself, a handful of active Europeans on the site. I have not actively visited the site this year, but I see very few active ones here even among newer members. This is quite sad.

Yes, it would be good if there were more Europeans. Do you have any ideas about how to encourage them? Maybe more discussions about berets or cheese or something.

Not much can be done any more. We have forums from our own countries, which is great except for the fact that they are national or regional, and not in English. The debate format of this site is unique, however, which is why I think it should be put to better and broader use. The forums here have become trash, and that will not be fixed for a long time. Had it not been for the way the site was designed, there would probably be a more welcoming feel for us who are capable of discussing politics from more perspectives than that of one country.

That's good, Sir. In the past, British members were some of my favourites here. Always good humour and often peculiar personalities.

This comment has the distinct flavor of saying that "Maybe more discussions about fried chicken and watermelon" would appeal to African Americans.

Envisage (British), YassineB (French/Morrocan), you (Bosnian), Andoc/Badger (Irish, was banned recently), Emilrose (Spain, account closed recently). That's, sadly, all that I can think of off of the top of my head. I would very much like to have more Europeans on this site.
"The Collectivist experiment is thoroughly suited (in appearance at least) to the Capitalist society which it proposes to replace. It works with the existing machinery of Capitalism, talks and thinks in the existing terms of Capitalism, appeals to just those appetites which Capitalism has aroused, and ridicules as fantastic and unheard-of just those things in society the memory of which Capitalism has killed among men wherever the blight of it has spread."

You've made other comments that were more facetious in all seriousness.

Just to point out what was funny, BTW. The contradiction was rather amusing.

Brian_Eggleston seems to be active occasionally as well, but not as much as before. I am glad you wish the same as I do, although we may do it for different reasons.

If an European receives insults upon his supreme continent and is affected negatively, he should try to think things through.
