For my 16,001th post I wanted to do something exciting, and the dingbat who is Ted Cruz afforded me the perfect opportunity to do that.

The video to the right is a chunk of Ted Cruz's presidential campaign announcement he made at Liberty University a few days ago. I went ahead and bleeped parts of the speech to make it look like he was cursing his a** off, and I think it came out amazing XD

See for yourself.

I don't know what the reaction to this vid will be, so If this thread gets a lot of attention, then I may make this a regular thing where once a week, I take announcements off of C-SPANS youtube channel and just bleep over whoever is speaking.

Its cheap entertainment, but it is far easier for me to do than the effort I had to sink in to making Ballbuster or the WS, meaning this could very well be a weekly thing.

if it doesn't get that much attention, then I may post vids like these more sporadically, if at all, so if you like the video and would like me to parody future announcements (2016 is heating up anyways so I'll have a goldmine of material to work with) then just post away :D

Yeah I thought the beep was too over the top. It should have been one that sounds like it was actually edited to cover profanity.

Also it boggles my mind that saying "abolish the IRS" is something a presidential candidate can say and not get laughed off the stage. I really hope someone grills him hard on that. It's obviously just over the top rhetoric, but I think candidates should be held accountable for making ridiculous claims.

The worst part of making this vid by far was having to listen to his speech like 19 times while editing it. Luckily Cruz probably wont survive the primaries

What's wrong with abolishing the IRS and collecting taxes a different way. The IRS needs to be striped of it's power to impose tyranny over the people with endless tax code regulation. A tax code that no one can understand serves the interests of no one but those who intend tyranny over the people.

First off just because the tax code is difficult and complicated, that doesn't mean its somehow tyrannical, and thats a really, really stupid excuse to have for wanting to strip the IRS of its power..... Just because you dont understand something, that doesnt somehow make it evil or wrong.

As for general reasons why Ted Cruz's desire to abolish the IRS is retarded:

1) Abolishing the IRS doesnt also abolish the tax code, it just means the agency that is meant to collect revenue according to the tax code is abolished, so the brainless solution to the problem doesnt even fix the problem.

2) Ted Cruz didnt offer any idea for a replacement for the IRS, he only says he would like to get rid of it, and thats it. As far as we know, he has no intention of replacing the IRS with anything else, he is just trying to appeal to idiots who dont like paying taxes to support him.

3) He didnt even bother to actually state how he plans to get rid of the IRS, he only says 'imagine' abolishing the IRS, and then all the idiots in the crowd cheered.

4) He likely CANT get rid of the IRS. Being President doesnt make you king where anything can be done, which Ted Cruz doesnt seem to understand. To abolish the IRS, he would most likely need to get overwhelming support from Democrats and Republicans alike, which is impossible, since both Democrats and Republicans hate his guts equally much.

5) A much smarter idea would be if he proposed to reform the tax code. Its not much easier to do than abolishing the IRS, but its an actual option for him to pursue since thats actually within the powers of the presidency to try to bring about.

"First off just because the tax code is difficult and complicated, that doesn't mean it's somehow tyrannical, and thats a really, really stupid excuse" Uh, that's your opinion and a minority opinion at that. The IRS is constantly being used by govt to punish businesses and individuals that don't conform to the status quo or businesses that produce legal products or services those in govt think should be banned or made illegal The gun and oil industries being the top two examples. I could name dozens more. "Reforming the tax code" means changing the way taxes are collected. Just because you have an instant bias for any idea to change the way taxes are collected by a person who doesn't tow your political dogma doesn't make it stupid or retarded. Your position and "OPINION" is noted, same complicated tax code, business as usual.

Thank you for once again establishing that you are indeed the senile old dipsh** of DDO.

"Reforming the tax code" means changing the way taxes are collected.

But abolishing the IRS doesnt fix the problem. The problem is cluttered tax code regulation, and the agency that handles the tax code itself is the Department of Treasury. The IRS meanwhile is just the chunk of the Department of Treasury that actually makes sure people pay taxes.

Ergo, Abolishing the IRS =/= fixing the cluttered tax code.

Just because you have an instant bias for any idea to change the way taxes are collected by a person who doesn't tow your political dogma doesn't make it stupid or retarded.

I'm against Ted Cruz's stupid and retarded idea because it is indeed both stupid and retarded, due to the fact that it is a bad and over-the-top solution to a problem that it doesnt even fix.

Your position and "OPINION" is noted, same complicated tax code, business as usual.

Thats not my opinion, but feel free to shove it up your a** you senile old f*ckwit :)

Department of Treasury handles the actual tax code such as flat tax or sales tax, not the IRS.
