So I am still pretty new to this site, and I been looking for a guide for debate.org. I am just looking for a very simple guide that would cover the basics, like how voting works, how winners and losers are chosen, how do see all the ongoing debates or the finished debates. just simple things like that...

i was actually trying to figure out how the points are given, i noticed that i voted for someone and he got 4 points more, but it doesnt look like all votes are worth 4 points because I saw someone with 7 points.

can someone please explain? =]
To be or not to be... what kind of question is that?

There is a guide in the works, the Debater's Cookbook, but it is still in construction. The voting system is quite simple. The agree before and after votes are worth zero points, the vote for best conduct is worth one point, the vote for best sources is worth two points, the vote for most convincing arguments is worth 3 points, and the vote for best spelling and grammar is worth one. This is off the top of my head, so it might be flawed, but you can check, just vote for one side for each category, and see how the points change.

Nothing against Wayne, but john: if he's looking for/in need of a guide, should he help work on it?
Don't I take care of them all?
