Would any of you debaters be interested in a debate tourney where the rules are:
-No text, you must actually make a speech then perform it, upload it to youtube, and post it in the round.
-Speeches cannot be more than 5 minutes
-You don't have to video tape yourself, audio is perfect.

I will make the topics, the topics will get harder as the tournament progresses?

This is not a sign up, I'm just seeing if anyone would be interested.

Please leave a comment saying "I'm interested" if you are.

I'd probably be interested, just maybe not for a formal, judged debate. I'm pretty horrible as far as verbal skills go.

I would but I have something of a speech impediment, it wouldn't be a debate if I have to repeat every other sentence.
What fresh dickery is the internet up to today?

interested... but only if it's topics I care about.

otherwise I don't think I could be convincing.

maybe topics could be determined by challenges instigated by the participants... not set up beforehand?

I am very interested I am a much better speaker than writer. As long as it isn't an argument about God.

I'd be willing to debate you about God.

Isn't that something you would feel strongly about?

I'd think that strength should translate into a convincing voice... no?

It is, it does, but I am sick of arguing about God with everybody

I used to have a bit of a speach impediment... pronouncing "R's" big time.

And I learned to read late... like 2nd grade... went from struggling with Dr. Seuss to blowing through "chapter books" like James & The Giant Peach in a couple days :)

I was wondering if you guys repeat phrases (ones which you just said) under your breath... almost sub-consciously.

I used to ALL THE TIME... now I do it only once in a while.

That would be sweet. My partner and I went 7-0 in policy debate and I won a bunch of local oratory and extemp tournaments. Not gonna lie, I'm a pretty good speaker : )

When I get internet at my house, I think the next few debates of mine may be video-based, because I'm feeling lazy.

Yikes, I want to actually contribute to society rather than leech off of it (no offense). I'm doing pre-med at K-Zoo.

I went to a non-denominational Christian school and gave my teachers hell.
