Okay, not bad... Now we just need...

Another 770 billion for the fiscal stimulus
X per acre (how much is an acre?) * 40 * # of constituents
Price of mule * # of constitutents

We should... (a) call the Koch's or (b) get printing.

Oh, please do. There's a proposal somewhere that's slightly different from the Bradford X-Tax (two economists wrote a book on it) of a PCT with a progressive rate structure. I like that formulation a lot more.

The current system, to maintain some semblance of progressivity, requires a massive exemption and thus an exorbitantly high tax rate to maintain even a revenue-neutral scenario, but then there's a relatively low cut-off point - I think it's 200k or so, for say, a family of four - after which everyone plays close to the actual rate. A marginal rate means we can play around a bit more with the size of the exemption.

Should I order a burrito, or should I go out for dinner tonight? That is... really... the most pressing question I face on this Friday night lol.

I think that depends on what your options for going out are (i.e., the opportunity costs of ordering a burrito). There's also, of course, the transaction costs (tipping may cost more if you order out) and the transportation costs versus the benefits of leisure, etc. I suggest you build a spreadsheet and compute a cost-benefit analysis.

(Do I fit the stereotype?)

You should go out, grab some Chipotle. Then grab me some while you're there. Then bring it to me.

I don't care about whether an ideology is "necessary" or not,
I care about how to solve problems,
which is what everyone else should also care about.

In essence, the world is fucked up and you can either ignore it, become cynical or bitter about it.
