No, he deactivated, which is why his page says that his account is "no longer active." If he were banned, his page would say that his account "has been closed."

As far as I've seen it can alternate between the two.

That's interesting. I've never seen the two used interchangeably. Do you know of any accounts where that was the case?

Mikal was banned for about a week, and due to circumstances that Max is better able to explain than I am, Max kept the account closed. He wasn't banned after that week, true, but the account was closed by Max, rather than Mikal himself.

Yeah, that would make sense, though Max just confirmed - and he could probably explain this better if he so chose - that, per Mikal's request, he toggled between closing and deactivating the account. So I guess it wasn't a glitch after all.

I'm pretty sure it happened with Mikal's when he once left, and he wasn't banned so...

Mikal was banned for about a week, and due to circumstances that Max is better able to explain than I am, Max kept the account closed. He wasn't banned after that week, true, but the account was closed by Max, rather than Mikal himself.

I'm talking about the time he left in the winter...it was only a for short while.

Oh, well in that case I'm not sure. I wasn't around in the winter. If his page did in fact say his account was closed, I'm really not sure why that was.

Si, it was him who deactivated so I don't know.

That's interesting. Judging by the comments in that thread, it seemed like an anomalous glitch.

Lol, I had to google that word ;D Seems like it I guess...

Ah, sorry, lol. But yeah, it probably best describes this situation.

No I've learned something new. at the time I thought it was odd but then assumed that kind of glitch could happen fairly often when someone deactivates.

Yeah, that would make sense, though Max just confirmed - and he could probably explain this better if he so chose - that, per Mikal's request, he toggled between closing and deactivating the account. So I guess it wasn't a glitch after all.

So are you saying that eagleoftheeast could possibly be banned? I'm a little confused here.

No, he deactivated, which is why his page says that his account is "no longer active." If he were banned, his page would say that his account "has been closed."

As far as I've seen it can alternate between the two.

That's interesting. I've never seen the two used interchangeably. Do you know of any accounts where that was the case?

No, he deactivated, and we can tell because his profile says "This account is no longer active." The situation with Mikal was a bit more complex, but that was an anomaly. By all accounts, eagleoftheeast never requested to have his account closed (and that's according to Max, by the way), so he just voluntarily deactivated.
