So I thought it'd be fun to play a little game. It's no secret that outside of a core group of DDOers lies an endless wasteland of purple circles and inactives. I was wondering if anybody could guess the approximate amount of inactives on this site.

Inactive- Not online for over 6 months and has not previously mentioned a hiatus

Will we ever know just how many people lie in the wasteland? Feel free to guess.

I got +3 on social (makes sense), but only +0.25 on economic. Their economic questions are worded like sh!t

No, I am not +0.25. In reality we are not that center. We are center right, which is more than 0.25. It is probably closer to 3 or 4.

But 3 or 4 are arbitrary numbers; it can only rightly be judged on a relative basis, so 0.25 might actually apply insofar as people "to the right" on this exam are conspiracy nutjobs or "End the Fed'ers."

Some of the political compass questions are stupid though. The one on astrology is supposed to determine if you're authoritarian or not...

That's really strange.. I mean, the logical progression could be that:

(a) belief in astrology means that one is naive
(b) naivety lends itself to fundamentalist religion
(c) fundamentalist religion often lends itself to impacting policy (banning gay marriage and abortion, etc.)
(d) those positions are, generally speaking, extremely authoritarian.

But if that's the case, the question could be a lot clearer and more direct.

Perhaps, but it also could indicate libertarianism in that a higher power resides over the government to those who agree, making them less responsive to the government when something contradicts their worldview. Honestly it could go either way.

Possibly, though I feel like a libertarian -- with the important exception of a Lockean view, it bears mentioning -- would object even to being ruled over by a higher power. Most are non-religious, if memory serves.

Libertarians object to the overreaching of the federal government for different reasons, but they are primarily non-religious

Libertarians object to the overreaching of the federal government for different reasons, but they are primarily non-religious people

How so? I bet it was those damn Mexicans Trump was telling us about.

I got +3 on social (makes sense), but only +0.25 on economic. Their economic questions are worded like sh!t

Lol.

That, or I've moved you to the left!

That actually sounds somewhat close to where I am, minus the social issues.

Yeah makes sense. But not all members of fundamental religions are statists. It may gauge willingness to submit to a higher power.
