I think you might've forgotten what mass PMs are like, lol.
One anarchist on this Site is ChristianPunk, but I'm not sure if he's still active.

I get the impression that he isn't actually an anarchist. A lot of punk fans declare themselves anarchists, but wont go as far as abolishing nation states.

I guessing that "LARPing" means something along the lines of devils advocate. I was thinking about coming back with a new account and doing that too. Just to see if people actually knew the faults with it.

Yeah, they also went and created their own forum and it died so quickly.

All the anarchists that I had seen over the couple years I have been apart of this community were usually pretty young and not really focused on the intellectual side of anarchism. They were probably just turned on to some shoddy skater punk and declared themselves anarchists for effect.

We also had a surge of libertarians during the tea party movement proclaiming themselves as anarchists or anarcho-capitalists, but it could be very quickly proven that they were not actual anarchists, especially since they would not advocate abolishing the nation and the military.

There were also a lot of anarcho communists on this site which did not actually understand what anarcho-communism was. Evidence was the continued use of words such as federal government and state.

Anarchists can be pro government or anti government. I don't think that most anarchists realize that though. I mean you'll see Ancaps for a homeowner's association, which is basically a government

Maybe because there is no intellectual side of anarchism.

Nonsense! There were plenty of anarchist intellectuals and there still are. Actually you probably seen more than a couple people walking around with anarchist literature, and you just didn't realize it.

There definitely isn't as many scholars in anarchism as Communism and other radical ideologies though, which is fair considering anarchism never really gained much traction on the world stage.

That's probably because no reasonable mass of people has accepted anarchism as something that can ever function.

Lol. Do you really think that society can function without a social contract to the government?

Eh, I've heard some pretty good arguments for it. Honestly, the problem isn't with anarchy itself, because I'm convinced that on balance it can be a good thing. My main problem with anarchy is that everyone wants a leader (or at least almost everyone), and lots of people are inclined to take leadership positions. So it's kind of inevitable that leaders will arise, and human greed could have that lead to bad things like what happens in gang wars or just any kind of group rivalry, which even happens in high school. Any guy wanting to prove his d!ck is longer than the one of the guys leading the other tribe would cause trouble.

That's where the problem lies. However, certain societies have actually functioned independently of the government and worked like good socialist governments minus the government. It worked for a while. Until someone wanted a leader again :P
