why are there so many 'spam' polls in /polls/?

The funny part is, the poll section gets better discussions (longer, more substance) then the forums when the issues are good.

Some of the older users seem anti-poll, and many new users rarely go into the forums.

I've never seen anything of the sort, despite the fact you keep saying this.

I tired to make 3 polls one.team, 2 of them were serious. Yet the only poll that actually uploaded was the troll poll (on annexing Saskatchewan.

Try more than a drive-by on the polls and see what you think.

I believe I already addressed this, but currently, no matter the contents of the poll, when you submit it it will say that the poll could not be saved or something along those lines. Thus, the user repeatedly tries and tries again until they give up. However, unbeknownst to them it's apparently lying and each time the poll DID submit.

The polls section is my favorite part of the site, because when it works, it works really well. Too bad 95% of the time it is a cesspool for spam and inactivity. I mean sure, someone is always voting, but not everyone is instigating conversation.

I remember back on my first account, way before most people on this thread joined the site, there would be at least two polls a week that exceeded 100 comments. Those were the best non-formal conversations I had had.

It's not just the "mirror" polls, but i'm talking about the overall general quality of them.
