Does this site not yet support markdown to any degree? I wanted to simply embed a URL but it doesn't see possible, here what I mean by markdown:

I think it only uses inline style link's.

Are you talking about embedding a URL into a debate? Debate's support HTML as long as you are not in rich text mode. Also its particular about what line of code it will actually accept. You can insert images, change the background colors of debates, etc using HTML but you cannot do the more advance stuff. Play around with it a bit, hit review and you can see what changes work and don't work. For some reason DDO doesn't like embedding secure links so, make sure to take the "s" out of any link that has "https".

Hmm, there may be certificate issues behind is concerns about https, but YouTube URLs are all https.
