Intro
Let's get this tournament started! I am Hayd, and I will be co-hosting the DDO January Beginner"s Tournament with Rosalie. This is a learning experience for new members, to help them learn the kinks of the site as well as improve their debating skill by being assigned mentors to give them advice.

Rules
To keep this tournament for beginners only, and to make it fair:

To sign up you must be under 3,000 Elo

Max of 15 completed debates.

I reserve the right to have final say on qualification.

The tournament will be single elimination, meaning if you lose once you are eliminated, and single stage, meaning that there will only be one bracket. Pairings will be randomized. Contestants will have 4 days to mutually decide on a topic and start their debate, if the contestants fail to agree on a topic one will be provided to them from idebate
http://idebate.org...

If an odd number of contestants sign up, bye-rounds will be provisioned randomly. If someone drops out, their opponent will receive a bye-round.

Sign ups
Looking to get as many participants as possible. But, I would rather someone not sign up than have to drop out of the tournament, or forfeit rounds in their debate. So if you don"t think you will have time over the next month or two, please abstain from signing up. I encourage anyone within the boundaries to sign up for this tournament to receive expert debate advice, meet new and interesting people, learn about DDO, and of course, have fun.

I know it may be frowned upon, but in order to actually attract noobs, a debate challenge advertising this thread, may be the best way to get a bunch of new enthusiastic participents
