Recently, lots of drama. Bsh1 is president, as Zaradi VP. DDO: The Movie came out. Juggle still doesn't give a sh*t. Some people left, new people came. The last election was close, Wylted lost by 1 vote, which brought up a lot of drama. Whiteflame is voting mod, with BoT as deputy.

One of the controversial members was being bullied for her attacks and toxicity. She publically revealed that she does it because of mental health problems and apologised profusely before leaving the site because she couldn't take it anymore. A firestorm errupted soon afterwards about DDO's handling of the situation and lines were drawn between members who believed that more severe site policy was needed as opposed to a forum that allows members to vent their attacks without moderation.

The current casualties stand at 430 wounded and 26 killed, with a further 190 missing.

Voting standards. Idk how long you've been gone, but recently your vote will get removed if it's not a full page of explanations almost. The RFD's occasionally now get posted on the forums due to size, and they are fully open to criticism.

He's tapping into a deep seated distaste for the government right now. I think he'd get stuff done if elected but he's kind of a demagogue and is definitely not a Constitutionalist.

I agree with all of this (except maybe on getting stuff done... but then again I wouldn't put it past Trump to pivot to the center to actually pass stuff, since he's hardly an arch conservative on economics, at least).

Trump is actually the most left-wing Republican front runner since Tricky Dick Nixon at the very least. His positions on immigration are the positions the left would've been taking if they hadn't abandoned the working class and everything else he's said is pretty moderate. He's against the pointless, suicidal middle eastern wars yet still somehow manages to chest bang about a strong military. It's awesome

I couldn't disagree with this more. There are certainly some things he's a bit more moderate on--and economics is the first thing that comes to mind, though his disgrace of a tax plan, which the Tax Policy Center just estimated would increase the debt-to-GDP ratio by 80 percent through 2036, is hardly "liberal"--but wanting to literally deport 11 million people, track down and kill the family members of ISIL, ban Muslims from entering the country, and I can go on and on, are not in the least bit moderate positions.

As for immigration and "abandoning the middle class"..... that's just asinine, lol. I know you don't believe that.

Actually, that isn't true. The idea of a large population of level-headed moderates is a myth. http://www.vox.com...

Which GOP front runner in the past 50 years was more left wing than Trump?

Woah, you're alive.

Thoughts on Trump?

Actually, that isn't true. The idea of a large population of level-headed moderates is a myth. http://www.vox.com...

I'll read that in a bit, though I can't say this surprises me--if anything, from what I've seen, voters are actually considerably more liberal than the "moderate voter" image the media likes to invoke, which is why a lot of critiques of Bernie Sanders are generally misguided.

But when I said "moderate," I was referring to the "reasonable person" standard of moderate--a world in which Mitt Romney is reasonable and Rick Santorum is a looney bird, for instance. That's separable from whether voters viewed Mitt as moderate or not (and, in reality, a lot of people thought he was crazy right).

Which GOP front runner in the past 50 years was more left wing than Trump?

Mitt Romney, John McCain, George W. Bush, George H. W. Bush, Ronald Reagan.... we could do this for ages, lol. None of them suggested deporting 11 million people. As you know, Reagan granted amnesty to 3 million.

As for immigration and "abandoning the middle class"..... that's just asinine, lol. I know you don't believe that.

I said the working class, not the middle class. And I absolutely believe that

I tend to think the two are synonymous, but alright. But that's just factually, economically bunk. Hell, 16k and I--but mostly him--just did an entire debate on this, lol. The literature on this issue is incredibly one-sided.

And even if I threw you a bone and said, "Okay, open borders might create rifts for the working class"--which might make sense if it weren't phased in and if immigrants competed for jobs in the same industries (which is spurious for a lot of reasons, empirical and theoretical)--then that in no way would lend itself to Trump's position. Trump's position is literally a reductio-ad-absurdum that I would invoke if I were a bastard, lol.
