What are the rules about copy /pasted articles from other sites?
It seems some members in the religious forum are simply copy/pasting preaching articles from religious sites than actually communicating what they believe in their own words.
I think it is a deceptive way to get people to read articles from religious sites, especially when the posters don't post a link to credit their source.

Ever heard of the freedom of speech? People can c/p articles as they like... as long as they cite them or provide a link. Regardless, if you don't wanna read it, don't.

There is no good rule, but generally you may NOT C/P entire articles. Several paragraphs with a note of source is about the most permissible I have ever seen.

There are no rules, although if done regularly without substantive additions (like editorializing or something), then it could be considered spam. It really depends on what the moderators want to do. I'm not sure how high this is on their priority list.

If youre copying pasta off of youtube videos make sure you view through the whole thing once or twice, not just play the video and try to keep up.... I tried doing that once, I ended up having sex with a delivery girl, i was watching the wrong kind of video, it was porn.

I guess parrots who can't speak for themselves using their own words are free to parrot other peoples words.
However, in my opinion it shows a lack of personal thinking and communication skills.

Just stay away from the religion forum. STAY AWAY. Trust me it's like a whole different site over there, you will find no decent intellectual conversation.

A lot of people just may not like it, but they can do it.

Decent intellectual conversation is rare on any forum.

On this site you'll see a noticeable difference between conversations about religion and conversations about literally anything else. We've had debates about My Little Pony that were better done and more constructive than what you see in the religion forum.

A lot of people often do what others don't like .

Some call it plagiarism when people copy and paste from sites without crediting their sources and making it appear as if the words posted are their own.

Because it is unoriginal, it reflects a failure to produce any legitimate thought, and exhibits laziness.

Most just call it copy and pasting or quoting even if they forget to add the source of the quote.
