Voter's Union // March Meeting.
=====================================

Welcome back. We took a short month of laze and relaxation. However, this month, we are back in business.

We are also focusing this month on recruiting. So if you are interested in joining, this would be the month to do so. All new recruits will be in a unique raffle for a special prize!

=====================================
Updates and Prizes
=====================================

This Month's prize is TOTAL WAR: Attila.

We are aiming for 30+ votes this month.
We are changing the point system to a raffle-based set up. Every point you get is essentially a raffle ticket. The more votes you get, the higher the change you have of winning. This is so people who try will have a chance to win.

In the last system, no matter how many votes you get (be it 10 or 500), so long as someone got one vote more, they won. It wasn't fair to all the people who put forth effort. And if the top voter had a few votes above you, there wasn't much of a point in trying to win the prize.

You must have 6 points (3 votes) to be included in the raffle.

If anyone would like to join, you can post below:

Who to Contact for Votes?
=====================================

To get votes on your debate, contact Donald.Keller, Midnight1131, or Voice-of-Truth. We will get you at least 2 votes on your debate.

You can contact any member, but they won't be allowed to vote on your debate. Your debate will still get 2 votes. If you are hosting a tournament, the VU will vote on every debate for you.

It is a strategy game that focuses on the downfall of the Roman Empire. There are two phases of game

1: World map kind of like Sid Meier's Civilization where you train armies, manage economy, diplomacy, all that jazz

2: When two armies meet in battle you are shifted to a real-time battle sort of like Age of Empires if you are familiar to that game.

And yes? It is a steam game

Total War is one of the most famous strategy games of all time... Maybe third behind Civ and AoE.

You post debates there so people know they need votes. You can't be assured quality or even votes. The VU will get you 2 votes, both meeting a VU-approved high standard.

So now I'm intrigued. What is the VU standard? Does that mean you are voting collectively (I am assuming not), or that you have specific criteria you expect from your VU voters? Or maybe the better question is do they enter the VU because the vote at a standard already or are they taught said standard after joining?

1- Every vote must mention each argument in the debate" Contentions, Arguments, Rebuttals, and all other names for them. The arguments are not to be confused with each individual claim or source. You do not have to tackle each argument of each round, and summing up similar, small arguments is okay.
2. No Conduct votes or Spelling and Grammar votes may be cast.
3. You may vote as you like on any non-submitted vote.

Sure, you should teach me how to play though. Is it Co-op?
