I was told to post my sign-ups for my tournament. Here we are:

I will be running a tournament of all quickfire debates. Please state your interest to join the tournament in this thread. Spots are not guaranteed (not "first come, first served"). Who ultimately participates will be at my discretion.

As a general rule, I won't choose you if you have an Elo under 2500 and if you have competed in less than 25 debates. If you fall into those classifications, don't waste the five seconds to sign up.

---

And lastly, anyone who would like to enter a judge pool to help these debates get votes is more than welcome to do so. Much appreciated.

I'all debate, though I have less than 25 debates, my old account has close to 100 (http://www.debate.org...) so, I've had close to 120 debates on this site, total.
I'm back and I'm better.

Can you enclose the topics of these "Quick fire" debates? I might be interested.

okay, no problem, I'll just beat some forfeiters to gain enough elo and debate count to impress you! :)

Can you define "quickfire." Do live debates count as quickfire? Do 3, 12, or 24 hour posting periods count as "quickfire"?

I can stretch to 3 hours, at most.

And I'd prefer debates not be live. That can be a different tournament.

Unless eight people can do live debates, it is indeed a no.

Why do all 8 people need to be able to do that? A live debate is a form of quickfire debate in a sense...so even if just 2 people want to do it, why rule it out?

I'll think it over, but I probably won't change it.
