Yeah I figured that would get your attention ;D

For those of you currently unaware at the time of reading this, Bsh has disengaged himself from Wylted's presidential campaign, a move that when first announced caused all hell to break loose and caused voters to shift their alliances and whatnot. Im willing to bet that at least a few of my pledged supporters sided with me entirely because of the attempted 3 way ticket between Wylted + Bsh + Rosalie, so im making TWO polls to see where im at now that Bsh has withdrawn from the race. At the moment its now down to Wylted/Rosalie vs Me/------- since I am not naming someone as my VP.

The first one is one for those of you who would prefer to remain anonymous regarding the election so far. You can vote here where your vote will be kept anonymous, you wont have to sign up for anything or take a survey or anything else you can simply skip:

There is an undecided option in that poll as well for those of you who are undecided about who to vote for. This whole election didnt even being until about a week ago, so I cant really blame you for not being sure who you want to vote for.

Here are links to platforms of both candidates

Wylted/Rosalie: http://www.debate.org...
Platform Summary:
1) Wants to 'Automate Programs' (whatever that means),
2) Named Rosalie as his VP,

Imabench: http://www.debate.org...
Platform Summary:
1) Wants to end the Presidency
2) Wants to replace the Presidency with a more direct system centered around 'DDO Conventions'
3) Other stuff like delegate moderation of disputes to Airmax

For those of you who dont care about remaining anonymous and are comfortable with openly naming which campaign you support for the presidency, you can sign your name on the 'Ballot' below.

Is this really necessary, considering you already made a petition to abolish the presidency? It seems like each time a forum is made about the presidency, you make a new "movement".
I'm the press conference, you're a conversation.

lol, it wasnt a petition. It was an announcement that I was going to run that came after both Wylted and Bsh made announcements first

This is literally only the second one ive made, and the other people who have made announcements are the people youre running with

Undecided, and I don't know how people can already have decided when there aren't even 100% solid platforms yet, lol.

People invest way too much effort in the election and the election causes way too much drama for any potential positive to counterbalance it.

I'd vote for you if it wasn't to end the DDO presidency - because you get this site. It's all the more reason you should understand the need for an active. president.

Ive been Vice President and Ive seen what the Presidency used to stand for. It is very expendable and I think that replacing it with a new system would be good for DDO since it would allow for ideas thought up by members to be enacted if other people like it. We saw this exact thing happen with the vote on moderation that the president had zero role in: http://www.debate.org...

DDOers are certainly capable of deciding among themselves what they want the site to be like, and that you dont need a president or a presidency to drive change.

I don't know... Wylted could add a couple two or three new imaginary executive posts. Don't want to miss me chance as Second CO-captain sub CIC.

You should know better than anyone why this site needs a sole representation of users. It's because max has his own responsibilities and having to deal with more people designated for different tasks, would be unfair to him. bsh1 is dedicated to representation and I'm sorry there isn't anyone to replace what he represents. Granted I'm very new here - but I pay close attention to detail, and also have great intuition, and I like this site for a variety of reasons. Sometimes a user with a fresh perspective, notices details, that insiders miss because they are more emotionally invested in the site.

What is it you think the president does? Not being argumentative on this one - not implying anything, just asking. What do you imagine the president is doing?

I'd vote for you if it wasn't to end the DDO presidency - because you get this site. It's all the more reason you should understand the need for an active. president.

It doesnt. Theres nobody for the site to even represent itself to.

And sometimes the insiders see something new users miss because theyve seen the inner workings of the site..... 2 of the last 3 presidents (Bsh, Ore Ele, Mikal) stepped down during their term, one of which was entirely because they felt that the Presidency was useless, and the other actually plotted to dissovle the presidency in secret for the same reason..... When presidents themselves find the position is useless, then it really is useless

Reading - reading and more reading - responding to users PM's and referring them to max or a debate mentor - sending max disclosure about users who have contacted him with concerns, writing resolutions about the art of debate and how to preserve it's integrity. Inviting and reaching out to new users - while making sure the veteran users are not ignored and that their input is still of value. It's an unpaid position and probably consumes many hours daily.

excuse the run on sentence - I'm typing as fast as I can to keep up with my thoughts and I suck at typing.
