Eg : This house believes that schools should not be allowed to admit their own students.
I feel it is possible that the proposition and opposition may each take a middle stance and end up having same opinion that schools should have some autonomy to admit their own students at the school's discretion, for many practical reasons, although the school admission exercise is usually done by state's education department.
therefore, as proposition is the side that defines the motion, do they have an advantage over the opposition ? This is because proposition can end up saying opposition agrees to their stance instead.
I wish to understand how would this be judged.
