International Verification

Many people have mentioned that the phone number verification system needs to be updated to include international carriers. Are there any members on here that are currently unable to be verified due to the current system?

For those of you who use international phone providers, can you either reply to this thread or PM me? We are in the process of evaluating a solution but need some assistance from members who have international carriers.

We are looking for assistance in 2 areas:
1) A list of international carriers that we need to cover, based off of current member usage (the list can always be expanded, but we want to ensure coverage for existing members first)
2) A few members who can help us test a new solution once we have it up in our test environment

Thank you in advance to anyone who is willing to help.

Here or PM? I already got a number verified trough a member's (m93samman) friend, but I can give some suppliers.

I think that if Danish people join, they will most likely use these:

- Telia
- TDC

8 digits. Denmark country code is +45 (0045). There are no area codes.

What if you dont have access to a cell phone? This is highly discriminatory and patently ridiculous. At the very least, there should be an option to petition to be examined and the admin can determine if the account is not a multi and is an authentic contributor.

Example being myself.

My phonenumbers are both 11 digit.

They are with:

Orange (UK)

Please add to the list.

I second that!
I am voting for Innomen because of his intelligence, common sense, humility and the fact that Juggle appears to listen to him. Any other Presidential style would have a large sub-section of the site up in arms. If I was President I would destroy the site though elitism, others would let it run riot. Innomen represents a middle way that works, neither draconian nor anarchic and that is the only way things can work. Plus he does it all without ego trips.

Oh! Wish I had seen this earlier.

I have Swisscom (Switzerland, obviously). Number of digits should be alright.
